Our game had a terrible call as well. But your guy did compare what NT did to KState and what UTSA did to La Tech to what South Alabama did to NT. He's implying NT was clearly a superior team and that they simply overlooked South Alabama the same way La Tech/KState overlooked both of us. Why do you guys trash South Alabama and FCS teams so much when they account for half of your wins last season? Not to mention the fact that South Alabama outgained you guys despite the loss. But if we're not counting FCS or FBS transitionals you beat FAU and ULL. We beat New Mexico State and Idaho. So basically you had the same amount of FBS wins as a team full of sophomores. btw theres no reason to exclude FBS transitionals, they count for bowl eligibility so why wouldnt they count here? smh your analyzing based on a boxscore 1. Nobody expected 8-4, weak schedule or not. 2.We only had about 65 scholarship players. 3. Most of the team, including the majority of the starters were sophomores. 4. QB Eric Soza was out the 2nd half vs Rice, and the entire Utah State and San Jose St games. 5. The La Tech game was not a blowout. 10 point game in the 4th with UTSA getting the ball back after a missed FG (terrible call gave La Tech the ball back). They proceeded to run up the score because they were trying to get into a BCS bowl at the time. That 8-4 record doesnt make us world beaters but it was an impressive season given those circumstances, people that dont see that or are unwilling to acknowledge that are simply envious. And with all these underclassmen becoming upperclassmen, with two years starting experience (all of them started as freshmen) the team should be better suited to compete with FBS competition. They won't win 8 games, hell theyll have a tough time even reaching .500 but they wont be an easy win either for CUSA's lower half teams like NT.

lol'd hard And I do see that, I made a similar but less funny analogy not too long ago. UTSA fans aren't boasting about anything btw, I'm just disproving the notion that our game is an easy W. No win is a given for NT given how bad theyve been in recent yrs.

So is the right to look down on teams. NT hasn't done anything to gain that right even against start ups.

But hey they might look waayyy down on UTSA this upcoming season as well, especially if players are anything like your fans. So be careful...could be an upset alert!! Might get us on ESPN since UNT is waayyyyyyyyyyy better so it would be a monumental win for us.

Are you really comparing last years UNT team to La Tech who was Top 25 and KState who was Top 5 all year? I might buy the 'they looked waayyy down' on lower opponents excuse from them. But UNT? Why in the world would you look down on anybody? You won four games last season, one them against an FCS team. You have one hell of a stupid team in Denton if they were 'looking down' at South Alabama with a 3-6 record entering that game.

UNT was outgained by fellow start-up South Alabama last season and only managed to beat them by 10 at Apogee. UTSA beat that same South Alabama team in Mobile, Alabama. Do yall even watch your own team? Theres no reason to chalk it up as automatic W.

You do know the former JUCOs were within 10 vs La Tech in the fourth quarter last season, right? That was the best offense in the country last year. The JUCOs were made up of like 90% sophomores and freshman too.

lol I post on here because I enjoy conversing with other fans. Post on UTSA sites as well but Im not the kind that just wants to sit around and listen to all UTSA fans talk about how great we are. I enjoy variety. If you were still in the Slumbelt I probably wouldnt be here but your a future conference mate so you kind of do have some connection to my school.

Is this site exclusively for NT fans? Plenty of your own fans would agree that your team won't win many games btw.

They built us UTSA and Presti+others with Spurs ties built them the Thunder. Okies aren't that bad tbh.

The only 2 for 1s we have are Ok State, Arizona, and Baylor. That was my mistake. Arizona State and K-State are simple home and aways. All Im saying is, BCS teams aren't going to get paid to come to your house. They'll pay you to go to theirs and get beat. That's just how it works, if we want games with some of the prestigious programs being mentioned both our ADs have to accept 2 for 1s. Personally I prefer an FCS team+strong Power 5 team on our home schedule instead of two below average/average non-Power 5 teams. That's how you convert and get the interest of casual fans.

You played an FCS team at Apogee just last year. lol But my apologies, didn't realize NT was once again too high and mighty for something. Two for ones are clearly below you guys. You guys can just throw $1 mill at these teams, that's definitely a lot more realistic for an upper tier school like NT.

Meh, we haven't had a problem scheduling non-Power 5 teams for home and aways to fill out the rest of our schedule. Don't see why it would be any different for you guys since you have DFW to sell to them. If it comes down to it just use some of the money from the sellouts to bring an FCS team to beat up on.

Why not just schedule a 2 for 1 instead of paying them? We have Ok State, Arizona, Arizona State, K- State, and Baylor coming to the Dome over the next few years doing that. We also cancelled a series with Virginia.

Like the capture the flag idea. For restarting it the next season...how about all our individual flags start with no stars and the winner each season gets a star on their flag to signify winning the competition? Kind of like how soccer teams put stars on their jerseys to signify world cup/league titles. So five years down the line for example Rice could have 3 stars, UTEP 1, NT 1, and UTSA none...showing Rices dominance in the conference.
