"Our defense is only rivaled by Alabama's. Our Apogee home field advantage by the horseshoe up in Ohio State. Academics? We're the Harvard of the South. We shouldn't even bother with these San Antonio community college peasants. We'll beat them by 30. Hope it was 70." -UNT fan

I would say something back but apparently other fans can't respond to namecalling without getting banned around these parts. I'd rather stick around and poke fun at delusional NT fans instead tbh.- 452 replies

"I'll have you know that that logo is the cousin of the legendary Iowa logo created by Hayden Fry. It looks like a flying penis and noone cares for it or thinks it looks good but it's still historic. Not that you would know anything about history though." -UNT fan- 452 replies

What's wrong you can't handle an outside opinion that isn't delusional about everything regarding UNT?
-
Wait, are you guys suggesting my suggestion wouldn't help out with noise? Why the angry responses? I'm confused.

Filling up the stadium would be a good start imho.

You missed the point, dummy. The guy said "real" college football teams have on campus stadiums. I was asking if UNT was "realer" than Miami? You can also answer that same question if you'd like. Nothing wrong with using the Alamodome while all the facilities on campus get done, if we're still using it after this most recent lease is up then I might be upset.
-
*Ok quick, which is realer: 1. A poorly attended off-campus stadium with the prestige and success of The U? 2. A poorly attended on campus Apogee stadium with no major success from The Mean Green?
-
Not going to lie I had no idea a solid half a season made UNT a college football giant. Thanks for the heads up, buddy. I'll be sure to go into the game with low expectations.
-
So you didn't keep up with UNT over the past decade? Bandwagoner. smh Yeah, completely agree. UNT is a much realer program than The U. Looking forward to it. If you do your part (which is never a guarantee) we just might witness one of the rarest sights in all of college football...an Apogee sell-out.
-
*3-5 But yeah, for a three year program it absolutely is. No start-up has moved up this fast much less won three games, there's also the attendance records. It's just lovely how it went from UTSA will be lucky to win 1-2 games before the season to laughing at 3-5 now. Seems you have high expectations for UTSA as well. Why would UTSA need an on campus stadium any time soon? lol at "sacrifice", and yall call me delusional? UNT might win but we aren't exactly going up there to play Alabama.

"I wish we had one that owned a KFC" sounds like you were kinda hating on the man. Also what do you know about our facilities? Current status, ongoing construction, future plans, etc? Cause it kind of sounds like you have no knowledge of the situation.
-
What? He brought it up, I simply responded by asking him why I shouldn't be optimistic about our potential given our early (unprecedented) success. What is there to be insecure about? Nothing wrong with using bro either imo.
-
You must not post on this site very often then. Quality post. I'm not saying we're a lock to be the next great thing but like you said there's plenty of potential here. We're not the prototypical start-up and if we continue to make progress like we have thus far I like our chances to become one of the better non-AQ programs. There's a chance it doesn't pan out but we have great people leading the way so I like to think we'll get there. If not we'll be there behind our Runners regardless.

^Let's be honest the come and take it motto, while not legally UTSA's is something that we kinda started this year. So it was pretty blatant plagiarism. My first comment was a lighthearted jab at that...what followed is not my fault. CK didnt troll all he did was post a truth bomb. edit: directed at forevereagle not my hispanic brother aztecskin
-
The way we're headed, why not? UCF and USF shot up pretty quickly, if any start-up is going to follow their footsteps it's us. But I understand that you're a little envious since we would leave you in our rear view mirror if that happened, can't say I blame you bro. I'd be pretty bitter about it too. See there you go scoffing the guy because he owns a multi-million dollar fast food franchise. I'm assuming it's because he doesn't own a fancier business? I was talking about alumni that help out the football program btw, specifically attendance since that's the subject at hand. Obviously we have other donors besides the MUY! Brands owner as well.
-
Game was three days ago. That'd be a long celebration imo. What part of my post isnt absolute truth btw? Just trying to wake up some of your fanbase from their delusional state, while simultaneously defending my uni obviously.
-
Dummy is a pretty light term imo. I was thinking things a lot worse than that. Seriously though who scoffs the fact that an involved alumni uses his businesses to help out his alma mater? I'm not laughing at Ok St because T. Boone Pickens made them the program they are, I wish we had a sugar daddy like them and applaud Pickens for putting that much money into his alma mater.
-
Wow, this site never fails to crack me up. Some (not all) of you guys dont realize how unintentionally hilarious you are. UTSA has 15k season ticket holders. Someone help me out and tell me how many UNT has? Less than half of that Im assuming. Those of you that are delusional can go ahead and make yourselves feel better by thinking UTSA has better attendance than UNT because they give away 'free tickets' or because of KFC. Those with some sense, including reasonable UNT fans, know UTSA isnt the only team that 'gives away' free tickets and that those promos have played a minimal role in our attendance success. BTW the KFC promotion, its because of a generous alum--believe hes the owner of MUY! Brands which owns all the KFCs, Pizza Huts and Taco Bells in San Antonio. Dont think there's a KFC promotion this year but there is a Pizza Hut one for select games. The guy buys tickets in bulk and simultaneously supports his alma mater and his businesses, I applaud the man. Instead of scoffing it you dummies should wish you had an alumn that was as involved instead of all the apathetic alumni who couldn't care less about UNT after graduation.
