Chalk up another All-American team for golfer Rodolfo Cazaubon. Today he was named PING All-America Honorable Mention as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Cazaubon was named All-America earlier in the month by Golfweek.com. Cazaubon is the first North Texas golfer to be named an All-American since Mike McCaffrey in 1992 and is the 13th player in school history to earn the honor, picking up the Mean Green’s 21st All-America award since 1958. I'm not sure what I think about RV possibly leaving North Texas, but from what I can tell, many people want him out as AD. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise for some?

Rice- A very easy to make side for any meal. Pretty great when fried and mixed with veggies. LA Tech- Duck Dynasty. UTSA- Everyone that couldn't get accepted to Univ. of Texas. UTEP- Different time zone than us. I respect their past though. Tulane- Eh. I don't care. Tulsa- They're in Oklahoma. Haha. Good team for the school's size though.

Did anyone ever think that the Mean Green would be featured on TV 8 time?! Hopefully this will help us tremendously.

Hopefully they'll continue to make the much needed improvements to the athletic department. This just gave me a little more hope.

Anyone up for a team trip to Dubai? Maybe we can win the new "Oil Bowl." Does anyone have any frequent flyer miles to share?

I thought Georgia would be an easy win... Guess they don't think the way I do. All kidding aside, I feel as if many of those losses could easily become wins if we don't have as many late-game mistakes. Last year could've turned out a tad more impressive if we played better in the 4th quarter.

I completely agree, just a little sarcasm to be thrown around. Hopefully this is all irrelevant though, because McCarney will take us to the promise land.

I love the sentence "The proof is in the pudding, though, and another step back this year could cost him his job. Call it possible but unlikely." We'd like to think we would dump him if things didn't turn around, but we need a thorough 6 years to find out...

This season definitely brings the most anticipation in my book. I'm extremely excited for finally having some regional and in-state rivals. No longer will we have to explain to our non-North Texas friends who Middle Tennessee or FIU is. The new TV package is also amazing. I am also curious about how TXST plays out in the Belt. I feel UTSA will do "okay" maybe a 4 win season. I am, however, hoping both UTSA and TXST fail this upcoming season so we can win some recruiting battles. In regards to Houston and SMU... I don't honestly care. All that matters to me is that we win the majority of the new SMU series we will have with me. I always felt out of the loop when trying to keep up with Belt news the past years. I always found myself keeping up with the Big12 more... CUSA should change this though

I can also see Southern Miss being a close and exciting win. Hopefully I'm not being too optimistic though. I want to believe we'll see North Texas in a bowl game this year. I completely agree with the predictions of all the Texas teams we will be facing, if we lose to anyone in Texas, except for Rice, I might honestly break down and cry...

Apogee will always be a winner in my book. I feel as if Houston's new stadium won't have the same "sex appeal" 50 years from now as it will in the coming years, while Apogee's appearance will remain "timeless."

As much as I love the dominance of Texas college football, North Texas needs all the recruits it can get. We need TXST to lose as much as possible... I hate that it has to be this way. Tough love.

If I were in charge of the video dept. for the Mean Green, I'd hire you in an instant. Much better than the crap being spewed out by the current guys.

Where do you live/family: Austin, TXDegree/Year attended/graduated UNT: Currently Attending (2016 - PhotoJourn.) Favorite NT Memory: Only been attending for one year, but so far it's just the Denton / North Texas atmosphere. Nothing beats it. Favorite NT Sports Memory: I sadly haven't been around to experience as much as some of the regulars on here but mine would have to be the LaLa ESPN2 game. The majority of the week leading up to and during the game, my friends and I assumed we were done for, but the epic comeback made for an awesome week.

I know they were both losses, but the fact that we have highlights against LSU and K-State make me excited.
