  1. Here is an even better idea. Don't worry so much about throwing down an ultimatum (i.e. only if the team wins both road games) in order to get your butts in the seats on Halloween. Instead, start making plans on how you are going to get to the stadium and bring as many as you can with you because it's our next home game. I understand where you are coming from though. If the planets somehow align and we are able to win 1, and dare I dream, 2 road games, then I agree that there should be no excuse to not pack the place on Halloween. Ultimatums are not beneficial in the long run.
  2. I think this gets into the area currently being addressed in a separate thread. If he does not play this year, he will lose a year of eligibility since he has already used his redshirt. However, he will be in perfect position to apply for a medical waiver if he pursues it and the university is willing to honor an additional year of financial aid.
  3. Sounds reasonable. Maybe it has been occurring all along and I just haven't noticed until now. That night, I just happened to noticed a large number of players in shorts and jerseys on the sideline that I could not account for.
  4. Wouldn't all the people you are describing be on the list of 100 or so players on the roster?
  5. I am pretty familiar with our roster. I definitely saw some of our injured/redshirt players, they were easy to spot. However I also saw more than a dozen young looking players with names that are not on our roster and several without names on their jerseys at all. They looked like high school aged kids. Does anyone have any insight as to what the story was regarding the kids on the sideline?
  6. What was the difference between the recruits in the stands and the recruits down on the sidelines in shorts and jerseys?
  7. No turning back now. Most likely, we will need the largest student turnout of the year just to get close to the MTSU crowd. A little nervous about the potential alumni turnout.
  8. At this point, conflicted with whether or not I want to see Q this season or try to get medical waiver and have 2 full years.
  9. With so many in attendance, hoping to see a commit or two after that game.
  10. Sorry, on my phone when I typed it. Ok, it was kind of loud so was not sure what he said. Either way, I think they got it right after they discussed it.
  11. Dajon seems to being set up for attempted medical hardship waiver (FFR approves of this term). I hope he gets it. In terms of trying to get McNulty in, personally I never felt comfortable until the last TD. Can't blame Mac for waiting. The last thing we needed was to somehow let that game get close after being up by 17 (easily could have been more without the TO's). However, this is a complaint, I like to hear.
  12. I am not so worried about how many of their fans show up, but I am interested to see what an in state opponent does for our own fans showing up.
  13. I even saw some of them holding up the flash cards for offense.
  14. If you listened to the referee's e plantation, he said there would be no penalty for taunting, nothing about an illegal hit. Sed was doing the X factor move after the hit.
  15. I noticed quite a few kids in shorts and green jerseys, some with names and some without. Not counting our current injured players that were also dressed the same way, were these unrecognizables recruits? There must have been at least a dozen that I noticed, if not more.
  16. Congrats!
  17. Deep in the heart of NORTH Texas No confusion there. We can stop playing it when we are in the same conference. Or you could always break out the Holey Pokey.
  18. Ok, I am confused. What was the point of this website again?
  19. More than likely if we can get to 6 wins, it means we win 2 of the next 3. That is a tall order since 2 of them are on the road. Very cautiously 20 - 17.
  20. No doubt. Losing is losing. It did make me chuckle when he said it. Coach Mac was definitely putting off the vibe of being pissed. Would not be surprised to hear of tough week of practice. I really want him to figure it out. I like the staff, and really like a lot about our players this year and the effort they show. I like that we are getting deep in game on the road with a chance to win. Need to get over the hump. Ready for some W's.
  21. Coach Mac had a shoutout to a couple of our posters. For a second there I thought he was going to refer to them by name. "If you can't see the improvement that has happened to this program over the last 3 years, either your eyes are closed or you are just stupid". Pretty sure that is a direct quote. If not, it is pretty close.
  22. MUTS is better than Tulane.
  23. As far as I remember, the pick 6 was due to a tipped pass on a screen play. The crime was not calling more intermediate and deep routes. We had a great success rate on the plays down the field. Unfortunately, we just did not call them nearly often enough. It would be nice if we ever tried to mix it up and go balls out on the road instead of uber conservative. Go down swinging.
  24. A blocked FG for a TD is a 10 point turnaround. Instead of going up 10-7, we go down 7 - 14. Huge turn in the game.
