I suspect we will see a dose of Houston Baptist, Lamar, SFA, or another Southland school as a home buy game for the next few years. The soonest we might hope see a home/home series start would be 2017, and that is only if we are in a position to move away from the bodybag game.

If KFCU beats Tulane then the aac has to deal with bringing in a bad Tulsa team, plus a Tulane team that can't beat one of the CUSA startup teams. The aac will have solidified themselves, at best, as a peer conference to CUSA in the sport that matters in all this realignment mess. It will be very interesting to see how things work out. I hope the perception of the aac to take a step backwards in Texas with only UH and SMU in the conference.

However, those wins would be fine coming from Rice and UTEP, and let ootsa pay some dues for 3 or 4 years. They were really fortunate to start with a quality QB. It will be interesting to see how well they replace hotsouza once the shine wears off.

At the end of the day, the more games that other CUSA Texas teams win, the more credibility the conference has with HS recruits. I really don't want to be the best Texas school in a conference where terrible Texas teams play. I think it helps us in the long run if our Texas brethren are also strong/cool. We just have to work hard to stay stronger/cooler.

Bring back the tie game. Then we all win.

We need a couple of home games the next couple of years. We should offer TCU $200k to come play a home game. If they are not available, maybe Houston Baptist or another small private.
