MGB: UNT jumps into race for Liberty QB
greenit replied to Brett Vito's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
Wasn't this Mac's strategy this year? -
Can we put up Jalie's picture now?

Question for older alumni and lifelong fans
greenit replied to Matt from A700's topic in Mean Green Football
Moot point. RV already beat 90 and FFR so he ain't going anywhere for a while just to prove them wrong. Thanks 90/FFR -
So Spavital's calendar should have some free time in the very near future.

Mike Ekeler - LB Coach Georgia - It's official!
greenit replied to El Paso Eagle's topic in Mean Green Football
He was essentially unemployed as soon as the bowl game was over, right? He may not have been as expensive as we think, but looks to be a pretty nice pickup. Hopefully an improvement over our last LB coach!- 185 replies

1. I can't believe the BBall forum does not have Jalie's picture. 2. I suspect POTUNT is repaying the 17's undying love of RV with a steady stream of buyout money requests to see just how deep their love is.

Of the realistic candidates that were out there, I would rank SL towards the top but not at the top. For me It would have taken a guy that you would say no way we could ever get to be an A+. For an A/A- I think we could have found a guy with the traits we were looking for AND had prior HC experience. I put this hire in the next category and gave a B+. Keep in mind that using this criteria, based solely on candidates available at the time, our prior hires would have been C's and D's. This was definitely a step up in class. Hopefully, he is able to follow it up with actual results.

Clear evidence of who is really running the offense in Pullman. -
Tulsa Co-OC Sterlin Gilbert turns down Texas OC Job
greenit replied to NTAlum09's topic in Mean Green Football
With the OC leaving, it might give us a better shot with some of the Tulsa recruits/commits. I noticed we just offered a recent Tulsa commit. -
It seems to me we have a small group of fans that can only focus on the negative aspects of every situation. Just like in corporate America, you have to rid yourself of these types before they bring your entire organization down. Some people are simply stuck in the past.

He may have planned to hold out for P5 but when nobody came calling he changed his stance. Could just be a timing thing.

Any chance we are able to snag Jankovich away from smoo?

There was a little smoke around the guy from West Virginia (Eric?)

Sorry, you are correct. Still a few days left.

Just a reminder that we are in the dead period for HS recruits. No phone or in person contact until after the first of the year. However, meeting with coaches is fair game. I believe electronic contact is still permissible.

This would've never happened under Mac...
greenit replied to MGNation92's topic in Mean Green Football
I wish Riddle the best of luck, but if he doesn't have other D1 offers by now it makes me wonder what recruiters are seeing that prevent them from offering. I am hoping that Littrell will be landing much higher sought after QBs. -
Ok, now 4 of the candidates we interviewed have been named 1st time FBS head coaches. And seemingly, we had realistic shots at all of them, with the possible exception of Norvell. This is a different time from just a few years ago.

Is that dude in the background the guy that donated the aluminum bleachers at Fouts?

Maybe the triple option?

We have a relatively small soph/rising junior class so we could stand to add 5-6 Jucos in this class. Some people say build for the future but if you don't win in your first couple of years, there won't be much future. I agree with a strategy of using a Juco to fill immediate needs and using HS to build depth.
