It is convenient how they forget that their millions are built of the backs of the W's they get against FCS and G5 schools. Greed will bring the whole thing down eventually. No doubt. I was pumped over a B1G team. I was WAY less pumped, but still pumped about a possible ACC team even if it was 6-6 team. Then I started checking into all 3 ACC teams and realized they were meh. When the announcement came out about UNLV, I was like WTF, but once I started looking at how all the dominos fell and how ESPN was likely pulling the string, I was just mad at the B1G for not qualifying enough teams and leaving the decision up to someone else. Don't agree with ESPN not being behind this pulling the strings. Maybe just conspiracy theorist in me, but do you think CUSA is going to give up a matchup with an AQ team and give it to MWC? After looking at it from several angles, I think we probably overrate the value. It's like getting the invite to the party because you can drive. The popular kids still ain't going to like you after the party. Time to start our own business and make our own money. F'em. F'em all.

Heck, even some non AQ teams

Perception has been carrying plenty of AQ teams for years.

So RV mentioned importance of buying through ticket office initially because we would get $100,000 toward expenses. We also learned our initial allotment was 5k. Is it reasonable to assume that $20 per initial block of tickets is going to UNT?

But we seemed to realize that a big 10 team was out of the picture over a week ago. Yet here we still are. What's the point of continued bitching other than to spread the negativity to those that may be on the fence? It certainly would have been nice, but it didn't happen. The acc schools might have been marginally better but frankly I don't see a Syracuse or other team sending more than a couple thousand when they only get low 30k at home against similar teams (I did think Pitt might send 5k or so, but look where they ended up). In the end, I am not sure if ESPN even allowed HoD to invite the acc schools since they needed a spot for a MWC team. I get being proud of the program and wanting other people to tell us how pretty we are and brag to our AQ buddies. Sucks we didn't get who we were hoping for, but just another reality slap of how far we still need to go.

Smu is finding out why you don't schedule way above your head. UTSA will find out starting next season. Oh dear, now starting a UTSA obsession. Damn you Harry!

For some reason, and I could be wrong, but I had in mind that Coach Mac is currently earning $600k in base salary. It would be huge if we could somehow get him in the $700k range. That would represent such a giant leap from where we have been. It would be simple to afford if we could just start averaging 26k - 28k in attendance.
