    Xavier still has not cracked the depth chart at NU and they have 6 DE's listed.

    Really hoping they all make it. I am very high on the incoming class and can't wait to see them work their way into the lineup.

    The topic of potential unannounced losses came up a few weeks back as the possible reason we had an extra ship or two. Hopefully everything works out with our recruits, but signs point to the possibility of at least one recruit having an issue.

    For the most part he was asked to the lore on obvious passing downs so his stats are not going to be as inflated as QBs that play in much more pass friendly offenses. Trying to compare one of Mac's QBs with other QBs based on stats alone will be very difficult.

    Don't get why we can't occasionally convert a big TE to DT. Even if it's a project. Seems like we can find plenty of big TEs. One of them should have quick enough feet to play DT or DE.

    Looking back, it would have been a lot easier on all of us if he would have just ran them all off immediately so the expectations could have been properly set.

    I am really looking forward to playing the other Texas teams in CUSA. UTEP and Rice are great. We should look at adding Texas State to go with UNT, UTEP, and Rice so there are 4 solid Texas teams.

    But this will be JW's 3rd year under Benford. He should be primed with the knowledge he needs to start putting up 20+ a night. Benford has already turned out 3 professional players in his short tenure and JW will probably be next if he has been paying attention.

    He definitely has talent, and I would rather have a 100% healthy and committed CJ compared to anyone else we can roll out, but at this point I would rather get a look at a new guy rather than another half hearted awkward CJ/Benford no chemistry season. On the bright side, we are going to basically see a brand new team this year.

    So is your position that a) regardless of who may or may not be the best player, scholarship players should be given the nod, and our coaches do not actively recruit walkons and transfers that they believe can contribute?

    I am also surprised CJ lasted this long. Seems like he has been unhappy for quite some time. Too bad he didn't get the opportunity to play the 2 like he seemingly wanted. Benford has been a wreck, but he is not alone in having a high number of transfers. Make the pain stop.

    Yep, forgot about Bean actually being 2nd. Plus ELlace plus Smith. That is 4 football players with a lot of potential. Hopefully we find our best 2 and leave them at MLB and find another way to use the others. I missed the news on Zed. Did he leave? Otherwise I thought he received another year of eligibility.

    Technically, since most of you have not been going to games and you have been 'out' for a year or more, you don't actually support this (bb) program.

    I hope Wallace as well as Smith is able to keep battling. I think we have 3 string contenders at MLB. That kind of depth is what we need. Marginal size can be overcome with depth, as long as everyone can actually contribute. I hope we can play multiple players at MLB.

    The reason Wallace is not ahead of Fred Scott on the depth chart is because Fred Scott is a bad ass, regardless of who had the most stars coming out of high school.

    I really like this incoming class. It may take them a year, but I think they will do some good things before they are done.

    Just because a kid signs an LOI, he doesn't count until he actually gets to campus and receives financial aid. It is always a possibility that someone doesn't make it to campus (see hoops thread).
