I have always found @untprez to be very receptive to these type of observations.

I don't think UT would be worried one bit about having UH in conference, the same way they don't worry about TTU. If anything, they may see adding Houston as a way to annoy A$M in the Houston market.

Our OOC home scheduling has been bad. Last year the best team that came to Apogee was Nicholls State.

If we don't fix the offense, pronto, our punters may lead the nation in total attempts.

Keep in mind that a team from San Antonio that had never played football before is undefeated against us. I expect we will have our hands full.

After graduating, I came back and got married at the Methodist church in Denton and had our reception in the Union. Good of to see it finally being updated. Can't wait to see it after completion.

All coaches say that a team improves the most between its first and second game. Unless we are able to schedule a super secret game before smoo, they will have that factor working in their favor.

I think attempting to establish an annual OOC game against another program that is perceived above us on the totem pole is a good thing. There are other schools, such as Houston or to a lesser degree Tulsa or Tx St that would have worked, but smoo is about as close as it gets to being a recognizable, universally hated, in state team for our fan base that we could realistically try to establish a rivalry game with. I think our series is a little different than the two game series with ArkSt. The biggest hurdle standing in the way, in my mind, is the presence of the money game. Once we can eliminate that game (and the associated FCS game), we can replace them with two FBS games. One could be a bottom tier P5/upper tier G5 and the other a lower tier G5. Once we are able to make those changes, it would put us on the same level as the top G5 programs. It would sure be nice to know what it would take to eliminate the money game from the schedule.

Well, maybe I was tuned to espin and only thought I heard it on the ticket. Makes sense, espn should have a much larger presence in the state.

We need for a few alumni to strike it filthy rich and develop a sudden love of mean green athletics. It is hard to squeeze a lot more from the existing base. The answer has to include new money... plus maybe a little squeezing.

And there are quite a few probably in the same boat. It is definitely a catch 22.

If we were to eliminate the money game and instead replace it wit a P5 h&h and another G5 h&h, we would need to make the p5 game day ticket $75+, probably restrict student attendance in exchange for available tickets (may have to guarantee 15k available seats to someone like a$m), and our season ticket package would have to go way up (~50%). I'm game.

I recently heard an a$m promo about games being broadcast on the Ticket. Not sure if smoo games will be on there this season. I assume they will be when no conflicts.

When the time comes, I would not be upset to see UNT hire Todd Berry. There is a guy who does more with less and certainly wouldn't make the asinine comment about UNT being so hard to recruit to.

The supporters of programs like UT have for years loved to look down their noses and belittle other programs, and now all of a sudden many of those supporters are finding out how insignificant they are in the bigger picture. I realize we are replacing a lot, but I actually feel like we have solid players with a fair amount of depth at each position. I am looking for a solid performance out of our defense. Can't wait to see some of the new arrivals on the field.
