  1. Having a higher moral compass than Baylor athletics is truly one of the lowest bars you can have.
  2. It's not like Staubach every won any awards for his play during college. Oh, wait.
  3. Confirming the mental capacity of 90% of this board is not depend on the success or failure of Andrew McNulty.
  4. I would expect that whoever is next in line will be asked to step up. If it turns out that we don't have a starter, or a backup, that is capable of running an offense (again) then Chico will be gone. Mac has some protection due to his contract.
  5. This should come in handy for a few folks:
  6. Wow, the musical sacrifices the band makes in the name of marching.
  7. Baylor has succumbed to the lust of success on the field at the expense of their moral compass. I hope the girl's parents file a suit so large that it bankrupts the program for knowingly and willingly bringing a person with a prior incident of assault on campus, against the advice from Boise.
  8. So the only 2 that returned were AM and JG. I have not seen much argument that AM was better than JG. That leaves us with the unknown CM and DS who have not taken a D1 snap. If DS is as good as everyone on here says he is, I don't see why he won't quickly climb the depth chart and be ready to step in when he gets the chance. i hope DS is the real deal. If he is, it should just be a matter of time.
  9. AM was clearly better than anything we had returning. And all of you experts are basing your opinion of FS on what again? A highlight reel?
  10. If he has more skill than the other QBs on the roster, he should work his way up in no time. Smith, and Smith only, put himself behind by not being here in the Spring.
  11. Jimmy show at practice this morning.
  12. Cops. SMH.
  13. The numbers last year show that Marcus was not involved in the passing game until the ball crossed the 25 yard line. Chico will have to involve him more in the middle of the field of he is going to have a bigger impact in the passing game.
  14. Just offering a different perspective. By splitting them out that far, you make the defense have to choose their poison. By keeping the slot closer to the formation and keeping a TE in there, the defense is able to keep more guys closer to the box. Inside the red zone is a different story. Art Briles has made a career for himself with this approach. Look at where he puts his WR's in most formations. Gives the defense fits. I guess I am just saying if we are going to go a spread, let's don't half ass it.

    Nice Shirt!

Is that Harry, I mean Caitlyn?
  16. I am on board with running the spread, but, and I hate to say this, I would use 4 WR's and forgoe the TE if you are really going to commit. I would put all the WR's outside the numbers so the OLB's can't cheat in to the box. That would put 5 in the box plus the safeties would have to decide whether to play deep to protect against the long ball or come up in the box and risk the bomb. I don't like the tighter formations that allow the defense to disguise their blitzes and sneak extra guys in the box. The issue is that you have to have a pretty strong arm to hit the short/quick routes outside the numbers.
  17. I don't mind it that much. What I really want to see happen is for DS to establish himself as the clear #2 so he is ready to step in if AM falters. Mat this point, barring injury, it looks like AM is going to get his chance. Hope he nails it, but if not, let's have a plan B.
  18. Are you kidding? RV just raise the student fee the maximum allowed! We're rollin in green!
  19. Surely W wouldn't mind.
  20. Push for Smith to get to #2 on the depth chart first. If he can't do that, then he has no chance.
  21. Agreed!! And if the QB has to be in the shot, even better. Let's see some QB's throwing to WR's with DB's covering. You have created a monster. Videos that come at varying times, of varying lengths, of varying content. Isn't that the way things become addictive, variable rewards? It's working.
