Has anyone answered the question of whether or not the athletic department gets any money off of away game tickets? Can someone please find out?
-
Does anyone know/recall the practice schedule between now and the start of the season?

Old Dominion in the News

Why? Did this occur at the home of a football player? And that football player actually assaulted girl? And the university tried to cover it up as well as removing the scholarship of the victim so she was effectively forced to leave the university? And did the defensive coordinator tell a gathering of boosters that said football player should be ready for the season, even after knowing what had transpired? Baylor = -

Certainly AM, DW, JG <> Manziel, but Mike Evans made Manziel look a lot better than he was. One thing Manziel had working for him was all the flash and all the scrambling he did that made things look exciting. He also has a really quick release. -

And I suppose Johnny football didn't throw balls up for grabs and trust his receivers to make a play. He always threw pinpoint accurate passes that basically stuck in the face mask of the receiver? C'mon. The QBs may not have been great, by any stretch, but our WRs were sub par last year. #11 was our #2 and he was pretty bad most of the year. The #3 and 4 WEs did not do much either. -

It's weird that Harris had no problem having a good year even while getting double teamed and being thrown to by a bunch of guys that supposedly can't throw a short, medium, long ball. -
Late start to season cutting down on number of bye weeks

There were posts specifically lamenting our lackluster performances after byes. Problem fixed. -

Greer had 2 camps under his belt and looked completely lost. He didn't seem to have a grasp of what to do, where to move, when to audible, etc... and that was with 2 camps. With that memory being so fresh in the coach's minds it doesn't bode well for hopes of the staff throwing a guy with a few weeks experience in there. There is a bit more to the QB position than how strong your arm is (certainly helps though). Whatever/whoever they roll out better be an improvement over last year if we are going to have any chance. -

Boise St. more morally grounded than Baylor?
greenit replied to SilverEagle's topic in Mean Green Football
I was just saying in my personal experience with the handful of BU grads that I have worked with, it has not been a pleasant experience I freely admit is a small sample size of under a dozen or so, but enough for me to consider it more than a coincidence. On a separate note, Baylor as a university publicly says one thing, and then does another. The football coach came to them and said they needed to admit a kid because he thought it would help them win. No problem coach. The parallel I was trying to draw is that my personal experience with BU grads was that of being hypocritical and sneaky/underhanded/fake kind of stuff, compared with how the university itself has shown a willingness to say one thing publicly and then behind the scenes act in a way that is counter to their supposed beliefs in an effort to succeed in athletics. No apologies here. I do not care for Baylor and normally pass on Baylor graduates for a job based on my prior experiences. Sucks for the candidate, but that is reality for me. I am laughing my ass off that they have once again found themselves in the middle of yet another mess. Stereotype much? Yes. -

Cool. Hopefully that means 1 CB to cover 2 WRs on each side. -

Hearing that the defense got more 3 and outs is good new and bad news all rolled into one. I hope Chico knows what he is doing with the QB depth chart. Since he was probably the one behind Greer initially last year, not too surprised to hear he is hanging in at #2. -
As long as the kid gets to wear a costume and get a sack full of candy by the end, I suspect that the kid will have a great time.

It is just so telling of the university that that have allowed the transgressions within the Athletics department. The Athletics department is morally corrupt and the administration is right there with them for allowing to continue to happen. And to have the nerve to do it all while hiding behind a cross. This type of backstabbing/hypocritical behavior is a consistent experience that I have personally encounter when dealing with the handful of BU graduates I have dealt with in my personal and professional experience. Not surprised. -

Are you able to sell/transfer your stadium seats instead of just walking away? No sense it letting them go to waste. -

Couldn't agree more. Here are a few of Houston's home games last year: UNLV - attendance = 23,408 Temple - attendance = 21,471 Tulsa - attendance = 23,572 Those are some pretty impressive number for a program who gets people in the seats no matter the opponent. Housta should probably just skip the move to the Big <12 and go straight to the SEC.
