If you get a high school player and develop him and he becomes really good, he will be poached by a P-5 team. I appreciate loyalty and all that but it now about the money. If I had the talent and was young I would like to think I would be loyal but to get paid well and go to college that would be hard thing to turn down. I don't know if there is way to level the field anymore, I think college football as we remember it is on the way out the door. Not sure I will like the NFL-lite version. How long until it makes it to the high schools? It think my days of being a college football fan might be numbered. Just hard to get excited about your team when you know they will be poached. With fewer players in basketball I hate to see what they will be getting paid.

The only problem I see with that set up is what other qb would want to be here knowing coach dad and qb son. I would think they would feel they are not going to get a far shake. I think that is why Vizzo left and became an intramural qb. Or maybe he got tried of the beating he was getting.

If we don't make changes before we get to the AAC we will be the conference bitch. SL has proven he cant win in CUSA do really think he will do a better job in the AAC. What AAC team do we play each year? What is the usual outcome and they are not the best team in the conference. When that team loses to us they fire their coach. We are setting ourselves up to be the bottom feeders of the AAC.

Then I guess it is worth the gamble to enter the portal. The article makes it sound like a lot players end up no where.

So I got an email that we have hired a new volleyball coach-not overly impressed by the hire. But not the point, seems someone is working in the AD department. Just give us the bad news, we are stuck another year with SL.
