This is what really irritates me. Marshall is leading ND in the 3rd qtr, App State is playing Texas A&M tough. We cant even be the field with SMUT. Getting beat is one thing but getting curb stomped is something totally different. I hope SL contract does not get extended but it most likely will.

Funny story, I was at the car wash the other day wearing my mean green attire. This young tall guy walks in North Texas attire. He asked if I was the SMUT game and I responded if you can call that a game but I was there. I went off on all the things I thought were wrong with the team and I did say the d-line and LB played well but the secondary was not good at all. Talked about not being able get the ball in from the red zone. On and on but he is not saying much. I asked if he went to UNT and responded he was GA for the football team. Told I would see at the game Sat and we better look good.....

Watched the Boise State vs UNM game last night. UNM had 21 yards rushing 69 yards passing (the one offensive touchdown came on 69 yard pass. The QB makes Aune look like a star qb . I guess it could be worse here.

There are 36,000 reason it is hard to compete with SMUT, even the walk-ons get that payday. I am just wondering if we will see teams "firing" of non performers or under performers. Seems hard to believe they would continue to pay for dead weight. What if a player gets injured and can no longer pay the game. This will be interesting because the schools recruits them but the NIL pays them. What if the NIL says get rid of this guy to the school and the school says no he is on scholarship. When the students figure the players are getting paid and a free education, housing and they are in debt going to school their maybe a revolt. The big schools that draw well will survive. They have more seats to sell to the general public. SMUT is a well paid team and it will be difficult to compete with them. I bet the skill payers at SMUT are getting more. How else can SMUT out recruit TCU, Baylor and Tech? It all about money now. College football has been ruined unless they can come up where all the teams are able to pay the same amount for players. What made college so great in the past was a somewhat level playing field. Small schools could upset bigger schools. Now with the NIL that will be more difficult. SMUT will stop looking at UNT type players because they can go big game shopping.

Is the free covid year over for players now?

The big 12 wants Arizona and Arizona State, Oregon and Washington. Maybe not but a combination of the teams if they can get them to jump ship.

SMU does not have a real difficult schedule ahead of them. Cinn and Houston look like the toughest teams on their schedule.

I thought tom Trieb played a much better game against SMU than he did at the UTEP . I think he will be trouble for the other teams in the rest of the games.
