I came in and we were down 14-0 and we came back with 21 points and made it look easy. Remember the first drive in the bowl game last year- we look unstoppable. Then the wheels just fall off. I never understood how we can look so good in a game at times and so bad a few plays later.

I know Cobbs doesn't have head coach experience but our running backs (when healthy) have been very good under him. I would hope the next coach will keep him and give him a little more responsibility so he can build his resume. When you look at our record against winning teams it is not good. I think SL has hit his peak here. He can go to P-5 school and be a OC and try being a HC in few more years. Honestly I think he is more comfortable out of the spotlight. Wish him the best of luck in the future and hope he does well where ever he ends up. I don't think WB can extend his contract at this time. You know somewhere a bad bowl team is saying -I hope we get to play North Texas.

We controlled our destiny and like so many times before we are let down. I think maybe 5k in apogee at the next game.

Maybe the NCAA should give each conference the same amount of money. The big guys have bloated budgets. I think some of them are hiring special assistants to the water boy now. I know the P-5 would not go for it and would abandon the NCAA before they would give up a dime A level playing field makes college football so much more fun. I am tried of seeing the same teams in the playoffs each year. It gets old. I don't think I watched one the playoff games last year. I just have no interest.

Funny when I arrived here in the mid 1970's I thought the campus was beautiful. Probably because I grew up in El Paso and had never seen that many trees and green in my life. TWU is trying to get Bell closed and I think they may have done it. So it can be done but you have to get a city council member to push it. I wouldn't ask the Mayor because his old business was an eyesore of its own. I have been on the TWU campus and they seem to better job with grounds than we do. I guess a smaller campus makes it easier. I am not sure who is in charge of that aspect but they could do better. I have great memories at the GAB because that is where I had most my classes and met great friends. I think a building that could be torn down (don't know what it called) but it located across from Maple hall next to the music building. It looks a elementary School building. Some of the older building on campus give it character. I remember one day I took a different walking home and went out of the west doors of the GAB and walked up the mall towards the Admin building. It really had the college vibe. It is so different from the path from the GAB to the SUB and beyond.. Back then the Old Business Building did not have air conditioning. In the spring the windows would be open with no screens the wasps would fly into the classroom.

I understand what you are saying but how many victories do you think we will have playing in the AAC. Even the worst teams are better than a lot of our teams in our conference. CUSA is a bad footballl conference.

I thought Stone was a sharp shooter when he came to UNT. I don't remember him making a basket? Could have missed with all the missed shots last night. One play that surprised me was when we played pressure defense and tried to trap the player with the ball and a SNC scored easily.

I guess SNC was after a moral victory vs a real victory.
