I think what is happening is in todays basketball world you bring in players for a couple years and they have to find the chemistry of playing together. It will be rare to have Zack Simmons in todays portal world. Macs teams have started slow but found their chemistry a few games down the road. I mean the first game I went to it was like I knew four players on the team (Perry, Abou, Smart and Scott). Forgot Ruben. Maybe when Perry and Jones get back it will help but for right now the easier schedule might actually help us. If we don't figure it soon it will be a long year. I don't want to lose to SFA again. That loss when Benson was here was worst to me. It was so depressing. I think me and 50 fans of UNT were there and SFA may have had more fans. Granted it was holiday break but when you hear the players talking, the ball bouncing on the floor the sneakers squeaking it is a bad sign.

I saw a UTEP Wyoming game back before the shot clock where Wyoming got to 10 at halftime.

I came in and we were down 14-0 and we came back with 21 points and made it look easy. Remember the first drive in the bowl game last year- we look unstoppable. Then the wheels just fall off. I never understood how we can look so good in a game at times and so bad a few plays later.

I know Cobbs doesn't have head coach experience but our running backs (when healthy) have been very good under him. I would hope the next coach will keep him and give him a little more responsibility so he can build his resume. When you look at our record against winning teams it is not good. I think SL has hit his peak here. He can go to P-5 school and be a OC and try being a HC in few more years. Honestly I think he is more comfortable out of the spotlight. Wish him the best of luck in the future and hope he does well where ever he ends up. I don't think WB can extend his contract at this time. You know somewhere a bad bowl team is saying -I hope we get to play North Texas.

We controlled our destiny and like so many times before we are let down. I think maybe 5k in apogee at the next game.
