Texas a&m players are jumping into the portal like rats leaving a sinking ship. Do not know if can get any of them. I remember just before Costal Carolina got good they lost 18 players to the portal. I always wondered if the new coach directed those players to the portal.

Well the AD job was posted at UNT two days ago. I think they have to wait 30 days? I would think we. have a short list

What if he had hired a qb last season and Aune was good QB? Look forward not backward unless you Aune will be back next year.

Do you think SL has learned he needs to hire a real qb coach or is he going to keep doing what he is doing?

If I was SL I would give Patrick Cobbs the job of finding us a quality QB. If anyone could sell the program it would be him.

If Aune has the game of his life and we can run the ball we stand a chance. If the defense shuts down Harris we win. Ff we have great punts and field goals that will contribute to the win. You know all three phases thing. Big game on the road I am not feeling it.

I think coaches will be very careful picking this guy up. He has transferred twice and did not play this year but was on a team. I hope he finds what he is looking for and stays somewhere and has a fun time playing. The grass is not always greener on the other side.

He moved up in his career and that is what most of us would have done. I glad he moved up and not a lateral move. They would mean there are big problems in the AD department. I thought everything was off this year at the football games. From game one til the end. I did not see any marketing for the games or attempt to draw new people in. He may have been preoccupied with interviewing and took his eye off the ball. If we make the right hire and could be the guy already here we can come better than ever. New ideas, new blood and they will be glad to be here until a P-5 school comes along. Let us hope we find a good one.

so how fast can we hire someone. Does the job have to be posted for 30 days before they can do anything? Count on SL being back next year if it takes that long to hire someone. I have a feeling we will lose more to the portal then we gain from it. I think players will wait to announce it until after Friday's game out of respect for their fellow teammates. We are 7-5 going into a title game. The only reason we are in it is because there are no divisions this year. UTSA is what 10-2. We have long way to go especially stepping up in league competition. I will be shocked if we win five games next year. I see I got 2 down votes and one eye roll. Tell us where the wins will come from next year?
