He would not be my first choice but I don't know who it would be for me. These consultants who are looking for a AD and HC. Are they just lawyers marketing people or do they have an actual knowledge of the game. My concern is the agents control the search firms.

I really starting to wonder if we do have any coaches were in contact with. It has been six days and there are no new stories or rumors on who is going to be the next head coach. There have not even rumors or stories about it since the first few days after SL was let go. When I watch the other spots get filled there is always seems to be name attached and in some of the cases the first guy fell through but the second was named right afterwards. I really wonder where we are in the process. Usually names get leaked out from our side or the coaches side. This is like top double secret. Where is our inside source on this?

I think they know who the guy is already but making they are negotiations with him. Like it has been said before they started the evaluation process most likely last year and I sure after the OCC games they reviewed it. I don think they are starting from ground zero on this ( I hope not anyway). I think we find out by 5 today, we have interim AD who has a real chance of being the AD so I don't think we have to wait on that position to be filled. I not just worried about the portal I am worried about some of our current players jumping in portal because they don't know who the coach is going to be. Plus the committed players we have to be keep in the process. I see Arizona State has made on offer on one of our future plays. It much more than the portal.

We need a coach now so we can take advantage of the portal.

Maybe he will be a smart coach and stay where he is at and collect a paycheck that affords him a comfortable living in town that loves him right now. It can all change after a bad season but ride the wave while he can. So many coaches want to jump up to the P-5 and most don't make it. But if he went to big school and got a large pay out if he is fired that would take care of his retirement and he always have a job in the lower tier again.
