we can only control what we can control. Rice is no loss, Smut dont like them anyway. UTSA they will have no rivalry games. If they are gone we should not schedule any of them. SMUT doesn't bring fans to our field as well as Rice. We have big crowds at our stadium because we love to hate them. They have big crowds we play that at Ford because we love to hate them. I am not sure who we pick up to replace them with. If SDSU goes maybe it opens the door for some MWC schools. Regardless of who they get it wont be the PAC12 of old. You think someone will pay for Rice to replace USC and UTSA replace UCLA, SMU to replace Oregon or Washington. The equation wont be equal.

hope he catches on somewhere. I think Mason's team could use him

that may happen but what type of deal will ESPN give the PAC now with the remaining teams? Will it be any better than the mountain west of the AAC? Hey invite Stanford, they will have SMU, RICE , Tulane to comfort their wounds in the AAC. interesting we heard all the teams that wanted to join the pac 12 from MWC and ACC but we dont hear if they are still interested. Oregon State, Washington State, CAL and Stanford are left three of the four are the lower teams in the conference. The only team I even remember seeing on TV is Stanford. Well maybe if they take some of our teams and MWC teams we could get a Bosie State, AFA,CSU

We all wanted local involvement and now we got someone stepping up in Denton. Maybe it can more people in the stands -
Well the big boys in the pac 10 will be looking for new homes. The new deal is 20 million per school which will be down from 33.6 million per school. The big 12 pays their schools 38 million a year. The big 10 pays 54.3 million a school. You have to think the Oregons, Washington's Arizona and Utah are looking for a new conference. Since SMU and SDSU are leading candidates for the jump they will will get more money leaving the AAC so they will be gone as well. So this about to get real interesting and not a good way for us. I look for a MWC leftovers and AAC left overs to become one league. The mwc pays out about 4 million a year. The AAC pays about 7 million a year to its teams. By the way the ACC pays it member 30.9-37 million per team and the big east 10-14 million per team. CUSA pay out is 400-500k a team. These numbers are rough estimates. I checked several sources and the numbers are a bit different on each source. It is all about the money and we will be one of the teams on the outside looking in. They need to do revenue sharing in college football but we know the big boys wont do that. So SMU leaves we no longer play them or the old deal still in play?

Stanford does have a lot of prestige to it and is well know. Can you say what Oregon State or Washington States football record or where they were in the standing. UTSA will draw more fans for SMUT than those two teams combined. Washington State and Oregon State have been overshadowed by their counterparts. The PAC 9 will have to take some teams from the mountain west. You think anyone will care about those teams. Fresno State, SDSU (has some name recognition) and UNLV . Only thing about UNLV it was good in the past in basketball and no so much in football. It was a nail in SL termination as HC. It would open a new recruiting area for them and that is plus. In the end each team will do what is best for them. If they leave good luck to them and they should dominate the conference along with Utah if they stay. I thing everything is dependent on the TV deal the PAC gets. I have no idea what that number will be but losing USC, UCLA, Colorado and now Arizona is rumored to be leaving. I know nothing and I just was kidding. I sure SMU, Rice and others are not monitoring what I say. Just having some fun -

Perfect world scenario is SMUT accepts the invitation to the the pac whatever they are now today, pays the exit fee and tomorrow Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon and Washington say they are joining other conferences. Wonder if any teams have withdrawn their interest in the pac number of the day? -

so we go after the left overs of the MWC. USAF, Wyoming, UNM,? ugh. Let's see what the tv package looks like for the PAC 12 that will determine a lot. The PAC 12 could take Hawaii -
Colorado is about to bolt for the Big 12...

it will be interesting to see how this shakes outin the end. Who goes to the pac12, who gets backfield in which causes the MWC to go and look for schools. maybe some CUSA teams??? -

hate to be a jerk about it but you do for one it will be hard to defend against others. maybe make them pay a small fee to use the name under a license agreement. At least there is contract to protect you. -
if a coach doesn't go to the Saban university of lost coaches they go FAU to build their resume back up so they can go to the SEC.
