He called Meager the leader and noticed the talent level difference early on in during the spring. I do not think it will take Dodge long to know which QB he will go with. I bet he knows in less than 7 practices......whether he announces it or not is another thing. I think Meager gets the start......but the Godfather comes in and plays versus OU, IMO.

Bare with me, so does ESPN+ mean you can watch it streaming or not? Or does that just mean DFW fans can watch it on their cable provider?

Size is great, lets just hope he can run like the hell and jump. I'm sure Dodge wouldn't have offered this early if they weren't sold on his speed. That kind of size at X receiver is scary.

Sam is a specimen for sure. Don't be surprised to see him redshirt. Breece, Casey, Brandon and possibly BJ Lewis are expected to get most of the reps in August on the outside. I want to keep this post positive and I will leave it at that. Roberson will be a force to be dealt with......I just do not believe it will be this year. NO EMMITT, I am still not on the field yet. I only listen to the players and those close to the team, not the chat room boys and girls.

The Rucker kid from Hearne was there. Got his first offer and gave a verbal. Todge loves those big WR's with some athletism. Whoever lines up this season and next on the outside or inside slot receivers are going to be some players. UNT is going to have the best core of receivers in their history, imo. We are going to have at least three freshman get significant minutes and catches this season. By the time Riley (or whoever, don't want to leave some other QB out) leaves, he'll have set every UNT record in passing imaginable and we'll have some Receivers do the same. ....................IF YOU THROW IT.............THEY WILL COME.............. Dodge loves throwing on the goal line and that is where he builds a lot of stats.

Liked I said in previous posts, I think Riley is awesome for UNT football. It is just my opinion that it MIGHT keep us from getting another quality kid. Look at Texas for example, when a kid is used to playing and being the man on the team (Snead), and is told he will be a back-up, they look elsewhere. No one like Riley or Vizza will play second fiddle. So you think a third QB like Meager or Tune will want to sit? Not one that is capable of playing at the next level or even D-1 AA level. Look at the situation at A&M, Dustin Long vs. Reggie McNeal. Fran goes with the athlete instead of the QB. Long doesn't want to sit and goes on to Sam Houston and becomes an All-American. That is my point in this debate. Hell If Tune, Meager, Vizza all want to sit next season, so be it and we are in good shape. I just do no think that all of those will do so. And in the future, if Riley or Vizza starts as true freshman, how are we going to attract more talent? You tell me how. Dodge has already said he is going to recruit one QB every recruiting season. If Tune, Vizza, and Riley, and then two more kids stay on, god bless our program. IT would be unusual, imo.

Watch for Pension and Dibrell. They boys can play. I expect Dibrell to have at least two TD catches and will start at WR. The other WR's are not in his league.

What is Rick and especially Woody supposed to say........... Woody better say the right things or his ass will stay on the bench. Riley's signing has no bearing on him. They should have asked Tune or Vizza what they thought of the oral commitment. Our Redshirt and true freshman just got hosed (blood is thicker than water). An "A" bomb was just dropped on those poor kids. Also in the future, UNT attracts no QB for at least two seasons that is worth a damn. Why would you come here with the 4A player of the year (Vizza) and the 5A player of the year (Rodge)?

Any idea how many days of practice are allowed before Sept. 1? I know it is regulated on how many days, how many two a days, and so forth. I believe we want start until after the second summer session is over, imo. The kids will get some break in between summer workouts and the start of fall practice if I was guessing.

In all seriousness, UNT and the offense are going to be shut down early on. If you really looked at the spring game, Mean Green defense played a base defense and did not blitz nor try to put any pressure on the QB when we scored. OU is going to eat us up, imo, obviously I hope I am dead wrong. Dodge's spread is no miracle worker and will take several games to get established. Ask Euless Trinity how hard it was to stop SLC..........and then ask Bob Stoops about stopping the spread. Our QB's are going to get blasted early and often. Meager is injury prone so that concerns me. Woody is athletic but cannot throw the ball with any consistency and his decision making is poor or he wouldn't have played the LEAST during the spring. Tune is an athlete and Dodge will do wonders with him in August. He just might be the guy. I flip flop between Tune and Meager and then sometimes flip again on the freshman. The good thing about SMU is they will get the hell kicked out of them as well. The winner of the SMu - UNT game might be the one with the fewest injuries at the skill postion after the first game. This is simply by simplified and uneducated opinion, what do you think? I hope the crowd is rocking and the METRO PLEX comes out to watch the game. IT could be a dandy.

Riley will make a heckuva QB. Will he be Ty or Koy Detmer? That remains to be seen. Their is definite correlation and could very easily happen. Riley might break every passing record imaginable (TD loves the records)

KBJ, I hope you get a chance to see them down their in Denton play a little 7 on 7. I hope anyone can go watch a little bit and see how things are progressing with the skill position players. It is the closest thing until August that someone can comment on......... I am just anxious to hear about the new WR's going up against the more experienced DB's.
