The problem with the boatman or windsailer or whatever is that he has been correct on his post. The boatman seems not to speculate as much as people want to think. Like it or not. Hey boatman, maybe you can team up with the dude from Ty Sports ( i think that's the name of his crazy blog)

Great news. All the best with your recovery and a healthy return.
-
Sorry dude, your wrong. Drake is out. Make sure you come clean.
-
Unfortunately, this thread and Nautical is correct. Drake is out from his injury that happened during the season. He is gone for the remainder of the spring. Source is the athletic training department.
-
This shows you how uneducated most of Rivals and scout writers of these articles are (and the guys who rank class) This article assumes that Phillips and Taylor are going to compete with Dodge at QB in the future of because of what they played in HS. Dumb ass.

Let's beg Jerry for use of Texas Stadium or the City of Irving and play Ark. State closer to the inner city school athletes who might come out to the game and just more fans in general may come on a Wednesday night. Might get some TV coverage as well considering it might be one of the few college games on that night before Thanksgiving. Someone who knows RV ought to see if this is even possible.

That would be a great Graduation gift to Jamario. He could then give those out to his family, friends and others who are apart of his life.

Just Some Stuff About Our High School Signees
Dodge2007 replied to MeanGreen61's topic in Mean Green Football
Leppo and Rucker only had one official offer from UNT accordingly to scout and rivals. UNT deep at center now with Drake, Johnson, Tomlinson, Leppo and the other guy who played when Drake went down (name escapes me). All these centers shot gun snapped in high school. -

I look forward to comments from the staff, players, or anyone who sees this dude kick the ball. -

Since J-MO is gone, the hot new jersey in the stores should be #87. Second will be #11. (Riley's number) No more hand made #87 jersey's this season. It will be fitting for all the younger kids of the community to jump on the feel good story of last season and wear Casey's number. I wonder if TD will let the school print up his son's number without playing a down?

Thin and inexperienced at DT in the spring. Maybe those extra reps will shake out a player who can play or at the least, the coaches find out who can't.
-
My post didn't say that. I have no clue who is on the committee but if Joe is not, I believe that is a mistake.
-
Amen to that MeanMag. People ripped Roman and ran that kid out of town.
-
App state does things first rate. Now that would be a good future conference addition. They would likely go ACC if they stepped up to D-1
-
SWTS will always be that, a AA program that can't draw more than 12-15 thousand people when they are in the AA Semi-finals. Hopefully, UNT will avoid Texas State. UNT with a new stadium should go independent before that crap with Lamar, Texas State and the like. A new stadium gives UNT options, no new stadium and we have to get on our knees and beg for someone to take us.

This is basic 101 message board business. Now Rich Rodriquez having his family members threatened is serious business. Big Schools and their "posters" set up FIRE.com sites and so forth. College football and Basketball is getting uglier by the season. GMG.com is so mild and tame compared to what's outside our own backyard. Debating and speculation is what a board is all about.
-
The problem is that players are leaving. Peachy, Banks, Ealey, and one or two more make 4 or 5. That is not unheard of in D-1 football. Scholarships open all the time. People complete the spring semester, get as many credits as they can and then some leave. Woody and several others come to mind from last spring, if memory serves me right. Look at every message board in D-1 sports and people are firing, hiring, coming and leaving all over the country. What's the big deal? Leave the speculators to themselves and don't fuel the fire if you don't like what is being said and the post goes away on its own. It's not the Harry's job to censor speculation. Speculation doesn't mean crapola.
-
Why would Vito even care about speculation. What would any player say to a reporter? (besides Dom's BS on racism).
-
good post. Coach Dodge has to know who is coming and going but he will never confirm or deny anything to Vito.. Speculation is just that but then people run with it and keep a thread alive. Passion gets rolling, and that's when sh*t hits the fan. Everyone speculated about Mendoza (and the split opinion) made the thread heat up. Ain't life grand on GMG.com This is happening at every major D-1 program in the country, it comes with the territory after signing day and then again after spring ball and possible two deep position forecasts. I don't believe Dodge will give the Mean Green nation a two deep position breakdown or all hell will break loose.

Greene is in the Hall of Fame boys. UNT could do far worse. Joe Greene opens doors, imo. I believe he has the street cred. to get Staubach, Coca Cola, Cuban and many others to listen. Mean Joe Greene field sponsored by Coke. I just don't see how Joe couldn't help. He is a legend that is worth something to this community and to football in general.
-
Let's just hope this guy comes and shows up "large" on Saturday ball games.
-
How about hiring MJG to chair the fund raising committee for the stadium. Joe could get RV into many doors that might not be open. Joe could solicit Staubach in Dallas and then get H. Ross and Cuban on board. We need just see a new scoreboard at Mean Joe Green field sponsored by Mark Cuban or whoever.

A lot of what if's, but if you step back and look at it some more, UNT is now really deep at WR. Also we now have three kickers. But the area I speculate on is those guys that are too slow to play DB and not big enough for LB. No speed at the D-1 level makes a "tweener" possibly look at moving down to AA or D-2 ball. The only player UNT cannot afford to lose is Casey Fitz. After that, every position is up for grabs. I don't believe any high profile guys leave now, its too late and the coaches would no by now, you would think.

This makes it the first time I beleive ever, that is why its kind of compelling.
