Expect d-line to dominate the line of scrimmage during the scrimmage at Fouts. Patch work o-line will force many three and outs and sacks based on what is being said around the round table. Hope to see Deloach in action tomorrow. Deloach will be ready without a doubt.

I am just stating obvious facts of long family friendships and how people care about one another. Why is that cynical? When a kid was your ball boy (when you grew up) who idolized you, wouldn't you want him to do well? And it's only natural that Chase would want Riley to exceed and overcome all the QB's who play the position. Cynical, I don't so, TD hand picked his dad and now hand picks another Carroll kid to G.A. I'll put it to you this way, Meager, Vizza, Tune and future QB's are all aware of this connection but the real connection is "that blood is thicker than water." Call me whatever you want, that's cool, just not cynical, NOT on this deal. And hey, I like the Dodge kid but I still call it like I see it. It makes good spring football discussion and it's worth about what I wipe my butt with.

Naturally with his and his family's ties to the Dodge family, Chase will be "pro" Riley. Vizza could be the odd man out OR he'll play pissed off and work his ass off to HIS teamates and have the team rally around him. Should be interesting. The Vizza kid just might bite Riley's head off. He seems to be that type of player.

With so many missing components on offense, spring practice is going to dominated by the defense. I just hope we don't get anyone else hurt on offense (going full speed in team offense). It is definitely a makeshift offense at this stage.

That is some heavy duty language and info for a football post.
-
Can u say more talent at WR? Now this guy was a major recruit and at his true position.
-
Well put Plumm. UNT should just quit if old SW Texas becomes more attrative to recruits and other conferences. God forbid. That would be a nail in the coffin.
-
Big Matt Tomlinson is a shot gun snapper as well, in case the need arises. Injuries and some guys leaving is thinning the spring competition up some at several positions. We are extremely thin a RB as well. QB competition will be thick but the WR deal is going to be something else. A ton of depth and some talent at WR. I believe Fentriss is the only missing scholly player who will miss the spring at WR. Let's just hope for no more injuries or players leaving, regardless of the reason.

Vito Confirms, Drake To Have Surgery Tomorrow
Dodge2007 replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Kelvin, best of luck for a successful surgery and a quick rehab. I for one believe you have a great career ahead of you. Peace. -
I hope the winning bid gift wraps those babies for Jamario's parting and appreciation gift. That would be cool.
-
Why is Phillips getting all the so called "confidential" info? If Vito is the beat reporter, why is he getting beat (no pun intended) to the stories of all these guys leaving, Drake needing surgery, the hiring of the new assistants, etc.? More information comes from this blog and another blog before it hits Vito's computer? I guess, its possible, that Vito is spread too thin.

Another player leaves, say it isn't so. Rexrode was a class act who will be missed. Floatie is hitting it out of the park (or maybe in his case, his boat) FFR, Floatie, Vito, Tasty, Quoner, and Troy Phillips are the true sources of UNT football. Nobody can touch Quoner, if you know what I mean.
-
PHS's avatar tells it all. Leave the players alone.
-
The best post of the off-season. Speaking of Rumors, Bret Vito says Vizza isn't leaving? Why did I see him pack up his bags and leave? read on read on read on Sorry, I just couldn't resist.

Why is that? Is UNT a jazz and music first university. Or is it because kids at UNT don't give a rats ass about UNT because they consider it a community college? (Or as others refer to as a commuter school) If the student won't vote for increased fees similar to those student in San Marcos, then Texas State will fly by UNT as did Boise, UCF, USF, Utah, Fresno, Nevada, W. Michigan, C. Michigan, and Cincinnati. Not including many AA programs with much better facilities.
-
I guess I am whatever you say I am. But god forbid that SWSTU out class UNT and beat the Mean Green to a better conference. They already have a nicer stadium, which doesn't say much. But what if they jump in CUSA or if they go independent. I believe that going independent is better for SWSTU than coming to the Belt.

The problem with this board is everyone takes it so seriously. I got my butt handed to me last year about calling out Woody Wilson and everyone said I was full of crap. This nautical dude was correct but he is getting his ass handed to him as well. I believe that unless you can factually discredit someone's post then its best left alone. Let the post die and see if what someone says ends up being true. No one on this board likes to read things that are true and they hammer those who post them. Yet those same SOB's call out players like Roman, Meager, or whoever and no one says a thing. Hey nautical boy, keep your posts coming. Until your wrong, I'll keep reading them.

North Texas Officially Is Third Largest University In Texas
Dodge2007 replied to ADLER's topic in Mean Green Football
Enrollment is good if it helps build a stadium. If not, stuck with Fouts and never a chance for a better conference. -
Texas State? I sure that was pure speculation on their board as well a year or so ago. UNT students need to vote on the stadium issue and see what happens with increased fees. Texas State is going to have to build onto to their existing stadium to get the D-1 minimum number for seats. Some programs are at least going forward and not stuck in the mud or still pissing in waterless urinals. http://www.statesman.com/sports/content/sp...14texstate.html

Gonna get me a jersey with Quoner & Nautical Man on the back.
-
Quoner is going to come back and say he missed it because he had aids.
-
I like your blog but that quote is a little more than what I wanted to read.
-
Sorry my man Quoner, I was making a weak joke. My bad. I actually like your blog's facts and predictions. It's all cool to me. I have nothing against boatman either. Most importantly, I just hope Kelvin gets back healthy in time for next fall.

The fact that Joe is coming back on occasion is enough for me to jump on his bandwagon and follow his marching orders.
