My hope is that we finally realize how to sell our program. We haven’t made enough of a consistent splash to be a sexy name, but we are a probable quad 1 matchup that you probably think is a guaranteed win, but even if you lose, it’s a quad 1 loss. kinda like what western Kentucky was until recently

Man, wright and lorient are the 2 biggest factors in how far this team goes, imo. When wright is on, we are a top 25 team.

Massey is that guy that has the mindset of “the guy” he just can’t finish consistently. Lorient is our best player, but weight is the guy that really decides whether this team wins or not, unless jossell or Floyd get hot. They all have the ability to score at will, but wright is the guy that can consistently put up the big numbers. I’ve just never seen a number 1 scoring option that can also completely disappear. Or I should say, we haven’t seen a number 1 that can completely disappear in some time here. Massey seems like one of those guys that puts up absolutely huge numbers on terrible teams. He is so electric, but such a terrible finisher.

I’ve wondered this, too. I know he’s small, and stats can be misleading, but a kid that threw for 58td’s to 5int’s and also ran for 6 more scores and averaged over 10 yards per rush is dismissed by EVERY p4 school as a qb prospect. Those stats were just his sr year. He competed and beat the ABSOLUTE BEST that Texas had to offer, and he’s still just a 3-star. Out performed Alabama recruit and overall number 2 qb in the class in the state semi-finals, but he’s just average. I went from 6 to midnight the second I heard we flipped him, and I can’t quit grinning thinking about the potential this kid has. in all fairness, I was the same way with Riley dodge. So…..we’ll wait and hope because nothing is better than telling all your buddies, “I told you!!” Lol

I love that you think Morris will be back here next year. Dude is gonna get a 7 figure NIL deal. As long as we have EM we will be able to get a stud transfer, and they will use us to boost their profile to get a big NIL deal the following year. Honestly, not a bad place to be in at our spot in the cfb pecking order. Much better than we were before, and much better than most of our piers.

Our receivers drop waaayyyyy too many passes. Been killing us all year with the drops. Hope we get that fixed next year.

Man I remember debating with people during the Dodge years which was worse, the seasons we got beat so bad every game, or the seasons we were at least competitive and still lost 10 games. Lol

Look, this season has quickly turned disappointing, but we absolutely CAN NOT fire Morris. Morris brings us Chris Jimmerson Jr. He HAS to stay.
