UNTfan23.... The Nebraska image you posted is "not a throwback"...just an Adidas Tecfit special uni that was worn by both Nebraska & Wisconsin for their "Unrivaled Game" on 9/29/12. Pittsburg? ...not sure what that was...don't follow the pros

this is an observation not a complaint...I like that NT at least tried to do this...but really!?!....only NT could "f" up a throwback uniform. neck down this looks outstanding! Question: How hard is it to to... 1) look at an old photo and 2) replicate it Just pick "one" between the 1) classic & cool 1960's & 2) funky & cool 1970's apple green BTW...both the 60's white helmet & 70's applegreen helmet had a grey face mask. This crazy "Helmet That Never Was" looks a little silly on this terrific throwback jersey & pant. just my observations... 3XL

I am afraid that we could be a little disappointed...sounds like we can't even do a throwback uniform properly. "mash-up"...seriously...we couldn't make a decision between the 1960's & 1970's....really!?! Personally I would pick the 70's apple "mean" green for a little more "wow" factor.

yes saw this on yahoo...crazy. I am still in favor of keeping D1 together....love the upsets & growth of programs (ie Boise State) Good Design is Good Business....holy moly...those Oregon facilities are unbelievably cool.

North Texas 1989 intramural flag football LXA B-Team made it to the B league Championship...and lost....swallow sadness we did however...have the best uniforms.

I like the red or blue with numbers only. their chosen font " with no outline" for the numbers looks really good...their owl logo "not so much" if the letterman's interlocked NT never makes our helmet...I would perfer numbers only or "MEAN GREEN"...more collegiate and less arena football

For those who care nothing about design & marketing..please turn away now. While recently shopping for a gift at Rally House in Fort Worth...I made a disturbing observation. UTA had at least twice as much spirit gear as North Texas. UTA had apx 8 shirt selections, cups & license plate frames...NT only had 4 poorly designed t-shirts....not even a koozie or key chain. Anyone who shops these stores, know the big public colleges are very well represented...Texas, A&M, Oklahoma, OSU, Tech, Arkansas....then the regional privates...TCU, Baylor and SMU. Understandably lots of TCU in cowtown...it's the home team. I was really amazed at the amount of well designed Baylor gear...40 shirts, 20 hats & so on...wow what a difference RGIII and a couple winning seasons in football does to increase sales....also see A&M. The (4) North Texas shirts looked pretty crappy...crazy striped fonts...and extra large logos...looked more appropriate for an Arena Football League team than any college team. Give me a simple collegiate font with MEAN GREEN across the chest in white on plain green t -shirt...that would work. "Good Design is Good Business" & "winning is good for business" Long story short...we have to start winning in "football"...punch somebody in the gut and upset them...we need some swagger again...it's been too long...it's time! Best thread year to date...proud of the insight and views from our alumni... The whole David vs Goliath aspect is really part of what makes college sports so great. Yes...many times there is pain & heartache...but the upsets and the building of programs from obscurity...how exciting is that?

This is great news...some of the best NT games that I have attended have been against SMU. Want to sell more seats at Apogee? We needed this....big plus for both schools More regional OOC home games needed vs Houston, Baylor, TCU, Tech, K-State, etc...
