agreed...it's a step...in the right direction. IMO a "program changing leap" this year would be 1) upsetting an 8-4 Georgia and then one more win against Ohio, Tulane or UTSA. 10-2 2) losing to Georgia and beating the rest 11-1 then...maybe...we get Michigan in the HOD We're getting closer...but not there yet... our regular group of 10-15 looks like it could be 30+ for HOD! GMG!

We didn't win C-USA...we didn't win the west & we got "spanked" at home by UTSA. Cowtown, myself and another NT alumni traveled to Las Vegas around 15+ years ago to watch our beloved Mean Green play the Rebels. Crazy that years later...we're playing UNLV in the "HOD" Cotton Bowl on New Years Day. Very happy for our players, coaches & fans. Should be a good game. GMG! 3XL

with the Oklahoma win....Baylor vs Texas means B12 title. Looks like Baylor has a throwback uniform for their last game at Floyd Casey Stadium. My count shows this is Baylor's 6th unique helmet for the 2013 season. That's around $200K just in helmets! Holy Moly...that's a lot of cash solely for lids...

Plum...I agree with you too. (I really liked greenit's idea of scheduleing a series with a MWC school) My thinking is it's journey...we hired a quality coach, built this great new stadium, moved up to a better conference and had "one" good season in the last 10 years. The arrow is pointed in the right direction. We need about 6-8 good years in a row to gain more respect. No one is going to give it to us...we will have to earn it. (ie) Boise State, Utah, Fresno State, Northern Illinois & TCU. GMG! 3XL

I would be pleased with either bowl because... we have a winning season we're "in" a bowl the local crowd life is good comparable bowls C-USA teams have played in the AF Bowl it's a win-win for NT If I had to choose one....I would pick the...HOD...for the original "Cotton Bowl" venue and "New Years Day" coolness.
