  1. There's a thousand things to do in H-Town and that overcommercialized overrated boardwalk in Kemah is not one of them .
  2. LOL @ "America's Team". You may have the most fans but y'all still blow and have for almost twenty years now.
  3. Overrated and overpriced. It's gone downhill the last few years. Cafe Adobe in Montrose is great, or if you're on the West side, Los Cucos.
  4. The Keller/Grapevine/Southlake/NRH/North Fort Worth population is perhaps the most racist, bigoted, snobby and stuck up bunch of people I've ever met. I work part time in this area. It's ridiculous. I don't mind the actual city of Fort Worth, the South, East, etc. I really do like the people and the city but the Northern area just taints the entire freaking thing.
  5. Like the Coogs at being relevant in the city they are named after?
  6. Guess I was right. LOL! And the tools on here barely count as fans, please. They're too busy arguing about the Green Brigade and SMoo.
  7. 2 years ago UH may have sold out every game but does that mean they were relevant? No. UH is still an afterthought to the city of Houston even now. I always found it funny last year whenever someone would call into 610 about the Coogs and they'd go "Who cares? It's CUSA." UH can't get a bit of airtime whatsoever. Yet, I can turn on The Ticket and hear UNT information or, hell, even listen to a Cowboy game and hear UNT mentioned and discussed. They don't even air your games locally, TXA is doing two this year and that requires going way out of their way to do it. UH stuff was only found locally, maybe in the 3rd Ward...maybe...West U, too. That's it. Even in 05, I could walk into an Academy in Fort Worth and spot a few UNT shirts. You're such a lying sack of shit, but keep making up stuff, it's funny, UNT drop out. The mid 90s UH attendance was worse-than-UAB level, you're just a bunch of bandwagoners. As my Mom, a UH grad always said, "Apathy. It's the Cougar way."
  8. UH was irrelevant in Houston 2 years ago, anyway. I was stunned to see UH gear in Academy, like we do here, because there used to be none.
  9. You're such a moron. You failed out, it's okay. I considered UH, but I prefer real schools where you won't get mugged between classes.
  10. Have fun with your racist, bigoted douchebag suburbanites. There pretty much isn't, they're both the metroplex. That's why there are so many Cowboy and Ranger fans in Houston and so many Astros and Texans fans in DFW right? LOL. Everyone from Dallas/Ft. Worth GTFOs out of this area ASAP. I wouldn't mind staying in Denton, though. If your dislike of Houston stems from the climate, well, your loss.
  11. But I apologize for derailing. Everyone has to slam Houston up here. LOL. Move on.
  12. Hahahaha, hilarious. People who live in the Metroplex just love to rip on Houston to make themselves feel better...fact remains, outside of the Cowboys and the TV show "Dallas", the Metroplex really has NOTHING on Houston...whatsoever... http://www.forbes.co...cities-to-live/ http://www.har.com/h...ost.cfm?id=8465 http://www.har.com/h...ost.cfm?id=8465 http://fpsf.com/ http://politicaltick...irst-gay-mayor/ http://www.chron.com...-in-1685587.php Not to mention it is cooler, has less of a winter, has a real NFL football stadium, the Eighth Wonder of the World, the better baseball team (two years of superiority for the Rangers, cool, we only have 40), a better basketball team, a better downtown, lower crime rates, higher income, better GDP, cheaper housing, best food in the country, better traffic than DFW. I can keep going. I love how people here insist on putting Houston down...that's how jealously works. Funny, funny. Not to mention Dallas has the ugliest skyline ever and the worst freeway setup ever. If you want to nitpick, we have a better respected newspaper, best economy in the country, more internationalism than DFW, and we're not all a bunch of snobby racist bigots like the entire population of the Fort Worth suburbs. 7 million people come from all over the world to go to our museums. We have a beach, too. Space City. In fact, what don't we have? Dallas has inferior food, weather, teams (excluding the Cowboys), just about everything, really. The fact that people keep moving here in droves is proof enough. Not to mention Dallas is the reason we have to deal with SMoo. Dallas has such a hilarious inferiority complex.
  13. D/FW has less culture than Houston has in its pinky toe. D/FW has such small prick syndrome it's not even funny. I love Denton, but as I soon as I graduate, I'm either staying and getting a job in Denton or going back to the best town in Texas.
  14. The Texans are only the best team in football as of the very moment. Period. They will get their SB trophy this year, too.
  15. oh straight from US News' website "To see full rankings, SAT/ACT scores, scholarship and grant information, graduation rates, and more, sign up for the U.S. News College Compass!"...well, i have that, nice try though...but we are #203...i will screenshot if you like...we are ranked similarily in princeton as a "best in the west" although that is a meaningless award...same acceptance rate, though, you just can't handle that, can you... furthermore, all your points about "professional students" has proven that UH is good at some things, more noticeably things that are considered professional, than unT, which is a highly liberal arts based school... i don't think you understand what the cars thing means, really...it means that at the very maximum 36% of students are commuters...probably more like 30% once you count the kids in dorms...the rest live in walking distance or do not have a permit with the school, thus they can't be commuters unless they park by sack n save... all you've proven with the beds is that houston has more beds than north Texas...not that there are more people living on campus...as said before, our statistics show that we have more % of kids on campus than UH does...and these aren't ranking, just statistical polls, facts...but you don't like my statistical facts... you also were true to form, discounting my widely accepted facts because you disagreed with them...will the madness ever end...if unT were such a "commuter" school why would texas send its best and brightest to a place where no one lived...oh yeah, they wouldn't...
  16. Explain to me why your stats ate right and mine are wrong again? And should I screenshot a paid US News subscription showing us a few spots behind UH? I will.
  17. Here we go again with his incorrect and fake stats. As I expected, his are the facts and mine garbage. LMAO. I've never even heard of his webpage he linked. He got owned, won't admit it, and now is running in circles. Our academics are similar because we both excel and suck in different areas and UH is by and far a commuter schools with less dorms on campus and far less students live on campus there than here. FACT. You can't hide from the stats. Once again, you have excuses for anything I posted that proved you wrong. LOL. You're so cute. You can't argue with the fact that UH has more students and less percentage of kids on campus and more kids with cars vs UNT with less students and more percentage but also less cars. According to the cars stat, at the very most, 37% of students are commuters. But my facts are wrong, and your assumptions are right, right?
  18. GL2Greatness, let's end this once and for all: http://colleges.usne...of-houston-3652 http://colleges.usne...lleges/unt-3594 UH is ranked #184, UNT #203. (You have to subscribe to US News to see the rank, that's why it says Rank Not Published, if you click for more info you see it says from 201-299 we are ranked in but I have a subscription from my mom. So either way UH beats us here.) UH has a 63.8% acceptance rate, we have a 64% acceptance rate. UH has a far superior endowment than us, mostly based off their legendary law school. Ain't much money in the music and teaching biz. But this is an obvious one. UH and UNT have the same exact student to faculty ratio. UNT has a 21% 4 year graduation rate, UH has a 15%. At UH, 15% of the student population lives in dorms. 19% live in dorms at UNT. 70% of students have cars on campus at UH while 34% have cars on campus at UNT. Same high school counselor score UH has an 80% freshman retention rate, UNT at a 77% UNT has a 49% 6-year graduation rate, UH with a 46% UH has 21% classes with 50+ students and UNT 19% classes with 50+ students UH and UNT are pretty much identical for graduate students, a 1.9% difference, UH better, and UH is located in the middle of a city around people who can go back and get their degree without driving to Denton. So what do we learn? That UNT and UH are pretty much IDENTICAL in academics and school experience, except UH is a commuter school where as UNT is...kind of...not so much anymore, but still has a bit of that. UH is better in one thing, UNT the other. I grew up in Houston, UH IS a commuter school and the only reason I didn't go there was because I wanted to leave town and be on my own. UH is a FAR superior football school and NOBODY IS DEBATING THAT. UH is slowly becoming more integrated with the town like UTSA is because of their football team and their recent massive rise in academics and I applaud them for that. But it's still a commuter school. If I didn't want to get away, I would be a Cougar. It goes both ways. Great and excel in different things. Would I go to UNT over UH for a law degree? Hell no. Would I go to UH over UNT for a music degree? Hell no. Would I go to UNT over UH for a business degree? Hell no. Would I go to UH over UNT for a hospitality management degree? Hell no. Would I go to UNT over UH for an engineering degree? Hell no. Would I go to UH over UNT for a education degree? Hell no. But please, go on about how none of the stats I have posted matter as you always do. I can do the same for TxState, if you like. You know, GOOGLE OBVIOUS STATISTICS.
  19. Why don't you pull out some statistics instead of making up crap? UH has the same amount of graduate students and less dorms and less students have cars on campus at North Texas and we have a better 4-year graduation rate to UH. What in the HELL are you talking about? UH is a great school, pretty much the best commuter school and what all commuter schools should aim to be. Shut your ignorant, poorly informed, poorly spoken and poorly written ass up please; go troll us on City-Data.com and College Confidential, k?
  20. Well, guys, I'm done. Keep Googling my name. Unfortunately I can't stoop to your maturity level since you all hide your names...but that's cool, see you guys in a few months once somebody name drops me again! You'll keep going on and on and on...showing that "maturity" you guys preach. TTYL!
  21. This has devolved into what I expected. LOL! GMG.com at it's best! Representing our school as well as my trolling on SBCBBS!
  22. Don't give yourself too much credit, this would've happened sooner or later. This is why I normally stay off this board. I normally only lurk just to LOL at the topics being discussed. This was just too good to miss out on.
  23. Thank you good sir, I will make sure not to make comments about rape anymore.
