  1. Yeah, we can't make a quick turnaround like ULM, WKU, Kent State, ULL, Arkansas State, Ohio...the list goes on and on...
  2. Because TAMU was smart and didn't delegate them out as separate universities from the beginning, like we did; a horrible idea. http://www.uh.edu/uh-health/about/tmc-partnership/index.php UH is a part of the TMC. Thus the UH section of the MEDICAL CENTER. Idiot. I never said they merged. I said they were all one university. I said we need to merge to be like these schools. So you can't read, write or arrange proper grammar? Mind=blown
  3. I'm totally fine with us being a basketball school first. It seems to be going that way.
  4. Because he has to spell out his fallacies in his argument. But I know, I don't understand why Harry won't ban him. He just gets under my skin. He's such a pathetic excuse for a human being, wasting as much time and energy as he does on a forum of a school he flunked out of. He's really bitter, I bet he thought coming here would be like a CC then he failed out after he stopped going to classes, sat inside and ate uncooked Ramen while watching LoTR all day...wait, that was my freshman roommate... Same difference, though. But seriously, he can't put a sentence together, he can't spell or come up with valid arguments; it's just sad and pathetic.
  5. Nothing you posted had any relevance whatsoever and was just meaningless outdated crap. You don't understand the way the research works, which is cute, as well. Fact is per UNT and THECB, the merger of UNT and the HSC, similar to A&M and Galveston, UH and UH Medical Center, UTMB and UT, would give us $60 million in research, $220 in endowment. Fact. You can dispute it and claim your numbers are better, mine come straight from the source, yours are ambiguous, outdated and unreliable. But I expect that from you, kiddo. By the way, Tech and UH both count their endowment for the whole system, dumbass. Can we meet in person? Like at a coffee shop? By the way, it's wrong not worng, you idiot.
  6. Everything I posted was factual and linked. Nothing you posted was factual and you're just upset because, once again, your statements were proven wrong. As usual, you are talking out your ass about things over your head that you'll understand when you grow up and get in the real world. Anyway, I have never seen any one who could have plain and basic information staring you in the face and you continue to argue and refute it. Once again, like before, I have valid statistics and you have phantom stats uncredited of no use whatsoever. I think you are mentally challenged. I really think so. And if so I'm sorry. Autism usually is characterized by obsessions without rationality; and that really defines you. I don't mean to offend anyone, just stating facts that we may have someone with autism and I think it best to ignore him. Combined endowment would be $220 million and restricted research would be around $60 million. Facts.
  7. Restricted research for the UNT Health Science Center is $41 million. http://fwbusinesspre...ArticleID=23103 Most schools combine their satellite schools in their endowment and restricted research, like UH and Tech. UH's satellite schools are especially heavy on the endowments. For example, most of UH's satellites contain anywhere from $24 million to $80 million in endowments. Tech also does this. But this would be allowed, especially as a specialty ones like the HSC. So there's no doubt they would pass it, obviously. The problem is that we don't want to, because our Board of Regents is a bunch of spineless toolbags. Endowment at the UNT Health Sciences Center is $110 million dollars. That puts us at $210 million dollars and right in the thick of the Tier 1 race. But once again, you don't research facts. Combined numbers already count in all the second-tier schools, especially health and medical centers. A&M and UT are the only schools that do not combine their endowment numbers, because they don't need to. Once again, you know nothing. The idea was placed on hold until November. Hey look, November is right around the corner.
  8. Losing to South Alabama would be near fire-worthy for McCarney. But RV goes with the Jerry Jones way of managing, so who knows.
  9. "No playmakers," "Not enough scholarships," "Austin hates UNT" "Mac has only had a year and a half" "Thompson has no WRs" "Can't play defense if your offense is helpless" ...And all the other excuses. Seriously, this is like the Cowboys-syndrome. Everyone looks everywhere except Tony Romo and the coach. Our defense knows how to play ball. But TWICE, they've been caught with their pants down. That's coaching. TWICE this year they've fallen behind and resorted to childish personal fouls. This team is undisciplined. I'm extremely disappointed because this is ALL coaching. I've only seen Mac make second half adjustments ONCE in two years. If your defense is good enough, they will keep your offense in the game and not kill moments with bad penalties, blown coverages, easy turnovers go, etc. And Thompson is just NOT a "playmaker" no matter what you want to say. Thompson had the best WR in the Sun Belt and he never got him the ball. EVER. Just toss the ball in Brelan's direction and he'll make a play. Thompson can't even do that. He's too busy launching balls into the wing zone. This team is so inconsistent. They're young, undisciplined and, to be frank, pretty bad. Had we not played a FCS school, we'd probably only have two wins. The flashes of good are nice, but McCarney's inability to prepare the team to play on the road is completely inexcusable and needs to be fixed. Now. Because it will cost him his job. This team cannot afford two more years of losing football. Apogee will struggle to pull 10K. With student spirit at an all-time high, a disasterous end to the season may hurt what's been built so far. But for the love of God, enough with the excuses. McCarney has been AWFUL on the road this year and Thompson is just an awful QB.
  10. I'm so sick and tired of the DT apologists. DT has a mediocre arm, no accuracy (that launch-in-the-Wing-Zone TD throw he made was possibly the worst play I've seen a D1 QB make ever) and couldn't even stack up against Texas FREAKING Southern. It's not that we don't have "playmakers". It's that Thompson can't get the ball to our "playmakers". Brelan Chancellor needs 8 catches a game. He usually ended up with 3 to 4. Thompson just ignored him and if he did target him it was always 5 feet over his head. INEXCUSABLE. Players like Chancellor will fight for the ball. But you have to freaking give them more than a snowball's chance in hell.
  11. I know that there was no way of him staying, but honestly, Riley Dodge would have this team at 5-3. Maybe even 6-2. That's what Berglund brings to the table. Berglund doesn't start, Mac and Chico need to be shown the door. I don't care how much he had to fight for the job with Scottsdale, and how many years it's been since he last played, the guy has SKILLS and TALENT. Say what you want about his seeming arrogance, I'll take a guy with swagger at this point. I'm sorry Derek, you're a cool guy, but Thompson is lacking majorly in the SKILLS department and the TALENT department. A less than average arm, horrible accuracy, terribad footwork and no scrambling ability. I have only been pleased with DT two times in his ENTIRE time at North Texas.
  12. We need no new Union. It's just another botched project for us that we'll half finish and students will mock for doing it in "UNT fashion". Ours is perfectly fine. Secondly, the students DID NOT vote on this, they simply voted when they wanted to pay for it. It wasn't like the stadium where we voted on it, we simply voted on how to pay for it. The fact that we're too busy putting up a hideous business building for a business program that's hanging on by its teeth and focusing more on a pedestrian bridge than actually doing things that matter like combining the Health-Science Center with Denton campus to meet research and endowment requirements for Tier 1 tells me all I need to know about this. This was just another attempt by our idiotic Board of Regents to throw money away and pray that they get a return on the investment.
  13. We've already seen the best of DT's game (not much).
  14. Can I please get an email of it to rjmunthe@yahoo.com? I'd like it for NCAA Football 2013.
  15. Berglund is currently enrolled at UNT and according to Twitter, loves it here. He will be here in the Fall, and will start. There's no way Thompson will get the nod.
  16. It drives me nuts that we count so conservatively. Can't we just lie like EVERY OTHER NCAA school? With SMU numbers, the TSU game would have been 24K and the Troy game 26K, the ULL game 22K. It's annoying.
  17. How is it NOT the biggest game ever? A W puts us in the Top 25. I don't understand how there are 8 votes implying that it isn't. This is a team with not much history of basketball. This is the best basketball team EVER at North Texas.
  18. I either want a close, hard-fought loss for ASU or a Arky State win.
  19. Biggest win in the history of the program. Especially because a win versus Creighton may very well put us in the Men's Basketball Top 25 (not mid-major, ALL of the NCAABB).
  20. The homecoming crowd last year was pretty disappointing. It was like 17K. But I agree on the 24K ballpark, or maybe in the 21-22K range.
  21. I just think a lot were not expecting the cold. I was wearing shorts and a T-shirt and I was FREEZING. I do think this will spur the attendance back into the 20K range, a lot of positive buzz on campus around the team today. Never heard all the students talking about the game, but it's been that way in just about every class. Students will keep showing up in the 3-6K range, let's just hope the alumni attendance was just a result of Tuesday night at 8, because I feel like it was. It was late and I can barely stay awake today because of it. Our attendance has turned a corner.
