The students are just awful and the taunting pretty much gone. I try, but I usually get goofy looks from the others and glares for standing the entire game. Games were a lot more fun in the student section in 2010.

I don't think this was Canales' fault. Furthermore, I think the guy is a asset who sticks by us and won't be going anywhere. I like our staff.

I still think he sucks. This is a Southern Miss style collapse (in football). He talks a good game, but he's a professional coach that can't figure out how to get the ball to Tony or break a zone D. That can't be fixed. That's just stupidity.

My point anyway is that I get the vibe from Mac that he truly wants to turn this program around; like it's his retirement project. At his age, this is his last stop and I doubt he'll go anywhere else.

Let me set the record straight...I support RV. He's an awesome guy and he has done so much for this university. He is such an amazing proponent for us. He truly loves it here. He loves the fans and hell, I've said two words to him and he waved at me at Best Buy and asked how it was going. But still. These hires are unacceptable and I hope someone is telling RV this is unacceptable and something needs to be done. Now.

I think RV is an awesome guy and a good AD...we're just really frustrated.

There definitely is no leadership...Tony should be the leader...but he's too busy pouting over Benford's game plan...

I don't even care at this point. I just want results. I have just about given up on UNT athletics this year. Start again next season. I guess because I have a 10-1 football team the sports gods want to make my sports life miserable elsewhere.

That's the main point. The culture is FINALLY changing. But if we keep putting this kind of product on the field/court, we might as well have not have tried. We may have already pissed away all the new student support, judging by the SA football game and the first two basketball games. We can't afford another 4-8 and a 12 win basketball team. Anyway, my head hurts, I'm going to bed, what an awful night.

Nobody respects Benford because Benford COACHES NO DISCIPLINE into these players. Mitchell was so exasperated at Benford's inept-ness as a coach that he just gave up. Benford is ruining his career. I don't blame Mitchell for quitting tonight.

For a team with talent that shouldn't lose more than 4 games ALL YEAR long.
