  1. Have you ever looked at the hiring rate for Internet grads? It's awful. They can't find a job because everyone sees it for what it is. That's an unfair comparison and a wrong one since the death of B&M is Amazon shill boloney anyway.
  2. That is incredible. Our facilities at the moment are unparalleled for schools at our level. I'm blown away. Wow.
  3. Looking forward to the Jazzfest tomorrow. Stuff like it and 35Denton and never ending concerts, festivals, gatherings, etc makes Denton unbeatable. No one comes close.
  4. I just find it odd and ridiculous that we've been throwing money around like we have an endless stream of cash and donors with us buying games like the big boys, paying off UTA, practice facility, huge scoreboards/Pit upgrades, bridge, absurd amount of TV marketing, yet we play the "We're poor" card quite often.
  5. Just when you think our program could sink no lower. This is like watching a slow motion train wreck... But, hey, we have a nice scoreboard for the 10 attendees at future UNT games!
  6. You pointed out that UH smells bad...a campus in the worst part of Houston neighboring Pasadena. It's your opinion, you presented is fact, so I'm pointing out that you're wrong and being an arrogant jerk.
  7. Oh wait, I'd value your opinion if I didn't look at your profile and realize you live in the kidnap-city-of-the-world and racist desert hellhole known as Phoenix. Furthermore, Denton is more polluted than Houston because Denton gets the leftover DFW pollution. Houston was recently named the greenest city in the country, by the way. So keep making up stuff if it makes you feel superior.
  8. Ah, the little man syndrome. Feel the need to trash Houston at any cost...except it is always rated as a better city. Stop being ignorant. If you smelled something, you weren't in Houston, it was Pasadena...affectionately known as "Stinkadena". That mentality is the arrogant, narcisstic, self centered mentality that makes the entire state of Texas hate the metroplex.
  9. Or, maybe, just maybe, I support a tuition hike because every other school has an athletic fee, and, the cost of UNT is too cheap for what you get. We massively undersell ourselves. If we insist on being cheap, an athletic fee would keep us "cheap" but is necessary. Tuition overall is too expensive compared to other countries,, but we might as well be overpriced like every other school in the US.
  10. This thread is a beating. Mostly because it's completely true. TTG, best post on here. Sums up our issues in a nutshell. And, you, Eagle61, you seem fine with accepting mediocrity. We're just fed up with the way we push athletics. I remember my father was on campus and we were talking about the amount of students we have. His exact response was, "30,000 students? You guys need better athletic programs. Embarrassing." It is. We've made a commitment to facilities...but not to sports. That's why we won't tell Mac "7-5 or you are fired" or that Benford needs to be fired if he doesn't win 16+ games. We need to change this, or we will continue to deal with what we do. I just can't believe we now suck at basketball and football. The two main sports, we are awful at. Embarrassing. 30,000+ flagship state university. We suck at everything. It's embarrassing that we're still bottom tier. Enlighten me, any other flagship state universities that've been around as long as we have who suck at everything like we do?
  11. He definitely would've gotten the start. He decided that community college was not a good idea and that he could jump right into D1 at UNT. It was a good decision, should've never went to Scottsdale in the first place. The fact that he transferred in and is good enough to possibly unseat our "dearly beloved captain Derek Thompson" should be proof enough.
  12. Houston gets behind UH for one season and you talk trash...LMFAO.
  13. Or the MWC? If we got an offer, doubtful we'd go. Maybe UTEP, but that's about it. The MWC is not an alluring conference.
  14. I think MWC/CUSA/AAC are all equal. This whole "anyone would leave" stuff is nonsense. Tulsa left because they wanted to be with their old buddies. I think the MWC/CUSA/AAC are top, then SBC/MAC on the bottom. MAC, like the Belt, had a great year. Sustainable?
  15. I won't be surprised. Then people on here and AD and Mac will say "We have a bright future!" and "Look at our grades!"
  16. It's quite simple what we need. Whoever gives us the best chance to win. The past two years, it has not been Thompson. Prove me wrong, or move out of the way.
  17. Why am I not surprised that the post was deleted? You folks love to sugarcoat the obvious and if you're okay with 3-9 than that's your prerogative...DT is a terrible QB that wouldn't cut it at most FCS schools. He's never done anything notable. At all. He may be a leader, and that's all nice...but that doesn't win you games when you have no talent to back that up. A very green Berglund gives us quadruple the chance to win DT has ever given us. Like I said, he may be a nice guy and that's cool and all. Is he a winner? No. I don't want to see UNT drop back into single digit attendance and I'm tired of us getting passed by by the likes of ULM. Or even catch lightning in a bottle, like ULM. But, no. We get 4-8 every year or a bunch of conference championships at 5-7/6-6. Hey, Queen, I'm coming down to Houston in a few weeks,.can I come to your house and have some of your Mom's delicious meatloaf? If I go to UH's grad school, wanna be roommates? <3
  18. I hope it's not a noon or there goes our attendance and the game will suck.
  19. I don't think USM would leave. There's no benefit besides schools they were with before. USM has a chance to be with schools with higher upside instead of schools like Tulsa and UH that have hit their ceiling.
  20. Like I said last week. You might be a crackhead if you graduated from TCU.
