Holy crap that was awful, I got a minute in and turned it off.

It's a big game...starting 2-0 then going into Ball State on FSN could be huge. The time + temperature will still hurt attendance, however, if we win, the potential to go 3-0 could be freaking fantastic. I think we need to win but if we lose it's not a huge deal because if we can beat Ball State even a 2-2 OOC would give us an excellent chance of getting to 6 wins.

If we beat Ohio, I'm all aboard the bandwagon.

I think having North Texas on the helmets perpetrates the NTSU thing.

Official Ohio Game Score Prediction Thread

I love Dajon but let's give Derek his due. There will unlikely be any DW unless we're up in a blowout. -
I don't know how we get continually called NTSU. I have no idea. Are you that stupid? I think anyone who calls us NTSU deserves a beatdown, I don't care if he picked us or not.

I really wish I could add a Dunbar or Waters jersey next to my Craig Robertson one. But I just can't.

Sorry, man. I'm done with this thread. Congrats Brian on joining the hometown team.

I think you've missed my rants before about the Mid-Cities/NFW area. My beliefs as a kid were only validated because I work in said area and never before have I ever met more racist, arrogant, narcissistic, entitled, spoiled, delusional and ignorant kids and adults. And I've lived in tons of places throughout my childhood and visited even more...that area is a cesspool of rich white privilege. FYI, I've lived in Cleveland, Detroit, New York, Orlando, Houston, DFW, Atlanta and have visited/stayed in just about every city east of the Rockies. There's no where like DFW.
-
Yup, and you're clearly a Keller-dweller teaching kids how to grow up and be Republican Teabagger Rick Santorum supporters. Can't argue with someone who can't deal with cold hard facts. Let's be honest, not a lot of the rich white kids from the northern Fort Worth suburbs go to UNT.

You're including the Rangers best era, as well? Good lord, you're thick. I mean, I love how you have to come up with excuses as to why the Rockets are not better than the Mavs. It's cute, but luckily I hate basketball. You're just not very bright when it comes to sports. Low sports IQ in that you skew and pull statistics that suit your argument because you have nothing besides the Cowboys were really good when we had the Oilers. That's cool, go brag to the Titans because we send the Oilers packing. We'll have a ring this year and then will promptly kick the Cowboys halfway across Arlington next year in a stadium that is 60-40 Texans fans. I was at the 2010 game. It was 2/3 Texan fans...that's pretty good for a team that once was the team of Houston for a few short years.

It's gonna sting next year when we take the Cowboys to the woodshed and y'all are outnumbered in your own stadium.

Official Ohio Game Score Prediction Thread

UNT - 27 Ohio - 21 -
You do realize we had the 2nd best winning percentage in the MLB from 1994-2008, right? "Revisionist" history, bud. The Texans have advanced to the divisional twice...so, yeah, we have done better and we're primed to do the same or go deeper with a stronger team in a hilariously weak conference. Daddy? Well, it depends if 3 years of superiority makes someone their daddy. Then the Texans would be the Cowboys daddy, right? You may end up with JesseMartin on the ignore list because you're surprisingly pretty low in the sports IQ area. You can spin stats anyway you want, I'm not debating that our past 5 years have been bad. Why not subtract it five years prior to your new run and our Killer B era? Pretty lopsided, eh? Luckily that UH is a community college or I would've left DFW in 2006 and never came back. But thank God for my benefit, Denton is only DFW by location only...

Oh, I agree. Despite the Oiler debacle Houston is 100% football. I just found it stupid. I'm sorry, I live by the Moneyball creed, it doesn't matter if you don't win the last game, which is why I get annoyed with Ranger fans trying to pretend that they're superior. In the same boat. I'd be inclined to respect the Cowboys as a better franchise if they had a title since 02...they don't so I don't understand why Cowboy fans try to claim superiority...we've sucked mostly since 2002, our inception, so have the Cowboys. The Oilers sucked. That's why we scalped them. We told Bud to go pound sand. I was never an Oiler fan.

Or, you know, it was put on a spot with history, not a just huge hole in the ground like the Ballpark in Arlington. The "baseball town" thing the Rangers were touting and the two year old league championships at the games this year were equally pathetic. The way the Rangers have been selling their farm teams they'll be back to mediocre in no time anyway.

BUT DALLAS! AMERICA'S TEAM! JERRYWORLD!
-
We weren't even a franchise when y'all were winning your rings. The Browns have 6 league championships (maybe more, idk) should I invite you to Berea to see what 6 rings looks like? Dallas is a joke city. It's pretty much the butt of every joke. If you asked anyone outside of the metroplex which city they preferred, no way it would be Dallas. Or Fort Worth. Houston is continually ranked at the top of the polls for job growth, "cool" factor, fun, etc. I do find it funny how uptight Cowboys fans get when you insult their self-proclaimed title of "America's Team"* And please don't even talk Rangers vs. Astros. Rangers fans have revisionist history and forget that we have a laundry list of hall of famers, retired numbers, more playoff appearances, more division titles, better historical attendance and Nolan Ryan rose to fame as an Astro but retired a Ranger. We also weren't stupid enough to build a stadium in a concrete wasteland with no roof.

Thoughts on NT, Ohio, and Redemption
meangreener replied to Mean Green Matt's topic in Mean Green Football
If we lose to Ohio, no reason to hit the panic button. As long as we beat Ball State, we could be looking at 2-2 OOC which I'll take going into CUSA play any day. That being said, I think we beat Ohio up badly. -
Agreed with it fading fast. You don't see Cowboy apparel across the country much anymore like you used to. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d8254ee9c/article/survey-says-packers-not-cowboys-now-americas-team It's pretty awesome that Waters is back. I still think the Cowboys are an 8-8 ballclub.

I have never seen a UTSA car decal outside of San Antonio and I work in Fort Worth.

Last sentence is false. Pittsburgh has 6.

Oh, that's new. Don't remember them being on there last time I looked. Touché.
