I have gotten emails for all the games. What I've noticed is a concerning lack of on campus advertising.

I will say, I was in a 4000 level English Lit class and the topic of discussion among people sitting around me was UNT football. In a good light. Us actually winning.

My gripe isn't Denton. Well, it kinda is. We do not have enough publicity. There needs to be stuff hanging in the square, lots of advertising to come party there before/after the game, deals for tickets through stuff there, etc. Also, FOCUS ELSEWHERE. We're NORTH Texas. Get the local towns behind us. The local towns are ripe for the picking. Justin. Sanger. Gainesville. Etc. it's frustrating.

This is the biggest thing. I don't know, I don't even think if we somehow BCS busted we'd lose Mac.

Thompson had a few runs but is mostly a pocket QB. He has a gun for an arm but accuracy at times tends to be a little scattershot. I think we'll do alright. We play a pro style and have been down in all of our games to start so the coach wouldn't be too bright to yank everyone quickly. That being said, we will lose.

I'd say Iowa is his LSU (Johnny Jones) I think Mac's at the age and of the old mindset where he'll only leave once the job is done. If he feels NT is in a good space where he can leave and NT be successful and a job like Iowa is open, he'd leave. Very particular and unlikely set of circumstances, IMO. I think Mac will be here til he retires.

I need Mac to show me something on the road then I'm all for it. However, I definitely believe that RV needs to get to hinting for a contract. I'd say it's extremely unlikely Mac goes anywhere because we gave him his second chance and he really loves UNT, but I think a nice long extension would help put any possible ideas of leaving away if we end up with a 7-5 or 8-4 record.

42-28. I think we'll give them a scare early and pull as close as 28-21 but Georgia will pull away because of our bad, bad, bad secondary coverage. They'll make sure that Georgia feels the pain, though.

Kinda tacky. I realize it's Georgia and they're really good and we have no chance but Akron nearly beat Michigan (they did, the refs made sure they didn't though) and we're definitely the kind of team you can't just put away. Who knows? I expect a "competitive" game, frankly. Final score will be probably 42-24. Or something similar. Georgia is quite overrated.

How is it redneck? Also, many people I know who don't care about football have told me "Well, guess I should go to the games, looks like we're actually good for once." Then I proceed to tell them we're 9-4 at home...
