    Well, I mean I made a comment directed at King about how UH didn't deserve a bowl game and could only beat the weak teams. I mean, maybe I over exaggerated the didn't deserve a bowl game...but let's be honest here, 99% of the UH animosity is due to one guy.

    Agreed, completely. I think we both share a common niche and are very similar schools...UH is the big public Houston university, us DFW. Still not a fan of that new UH stadium though, But I'm still in the small minority that UH should've redone the Astrodome and built the best damn indoor stadium with 50,000 seats. I still spend a ton of time down there, and there's too many stadiums and I hate that BBVA Compass Stadium style. Anyway. No reason for this idiotic discussions.

    While I agree partially, I think the uniqueness of the logos plays in our favor. If we don't do this, we need the huge eagle that wraps around the helmet like the bowl ones. I enjoyed the Rice game helmets solely for the Eagle but was not in that much love with them, frankly.

    I like UH, to be honest. I like Houston. Cougar King tends to piss me off a bit, but they have a fine program and I've rooted for them before.

    Love them. Wanted the eagle on the helmet like this since I came here. I think a matte green helmet with white eagle wings would be cool too. Now we just need 90 to come question our manliness and it's a uniform thread!

    No I wasn't, I said that in my post, just was from the outside. Seemed things such as DD telling off the fans, Flanigan attacking the crowd, and getting obliterated by OU was ruining this university. It's just an uninformed opinion. Just saying from an outsider, we weren't acknowledged until Dodge came around, it seemed to me, as a young middle schooler and high schooler.

    My issue with DT, and still remains my issue...is the offense was not suited for him. When they hurried it up, played quick snap move-down-the-field-in-large-chunks offense, DT was amazing. Remember when we talked about them "lifting the chains?" DT was awful when we ran at a brick wall (90% of last year.)

    Texans fan, and I'm feeling that at the moment. That being said, GO BOLTS. Peyton sucks in the playoffs. San Diego vs Seattle Super Bowl. BOOM!

    From what I can see with DD (was not here during this time) is that he took advantage of an incredibly weak conference and cashed checks in OOC games...personally...I think those massive 50-70 point games did more damage to this school's reputation as a football team than Todd Dodge ever did. To cap off all his crap talking...this program from the outside as a kid in DFW seemed like a dumpster fire that was a massive joke that became real when Dodge was hired... I hate Dodge, he killed this place...but just saying...DD did more damage to UNT, IMO. There's a reason we still averaged 17K with DD...nobody gives a damn if you beat ULM in Texas. Period. By quitting OOC, we looked like scrubs to the outsiders...nobody cared. Ever read articles on us during the day? Pretty sure we got made fun of more than Eastern Michigan and SWAC schools. It's a massive insult and disrespect to compare Mac to Dickey in any capacity.

    Why does TCU dodge us, then? These schools know that losing to an in-state team widely seen as "low FBS" is near program suicide.

    The cash beats trash thing is hilarious. So can we call them Rich TCC Students? Since that's all SMU is...a Rich TCC with the exception of one great program (MBA.) Any person with money and brains who wants to go private is going to Rice or Baylor...period.

    I agree...it's frustrating though, because I'm 100% on the Brock bandwagon and think Mac just needs to go out there and say "Get us a win." Will never happen under McCarney though. Dude will be money if he ever gets on the field.

    I never said we were peers. To be honest, I hope we never are. However, there's a ballpark shot...no herculean feat. Not much film on whoever our QB is, and UT settling into a new offense and defense. Prime upset time. Maybe I'm wrong and we lose by 40 and the T-sip fans on here get really excited. I do THINK we can win. I will be happy if we remain within 2 touchdowns in a close game (a la Georgia.)

    I'm going to throw up with all the UT love. See some of y'all haven't shed your love for the T-sips. Give me a break. UT gets upset in a "herculean feat" every single damn year. Let's see: 2013 they lost to BYU 2012 they lost to TCU 2010 they lost to UCLA and Iowa State

    Agreed, but I think we should be focusing more on the actual North Texas areas and all the small little cities surrounding Denton. We need to market ourselves as North Texas' team and less DFW's team. Way too crowded...DFW T-shirt fans (even our alums) will just jump to whoever is winning. If you disagree, see TCU's butts-in-seat attendance and SMU's 1 fan who attends, Mav/Stars/Rangers attendance in down years.

    Dajon or Brock. No way McNulty gets it. There are very specific strategic reasons as to why McNulty is in there...he wants to save Dajon. I want Brock to succeed, but something on the field must not click. Dude is smart (4.0) and has all the talent in the world...maybe the game moves too fast for him.
