No, that's Houston, actually. Never met anyone in Keller who went to SMU. Nice try. People in DFW who aren't raking in millions don't go to SMU. They go to TCU, Rice or Baylor. Delusional if y'all really think there isn't a higher proportion of douchebags on SMU's campus. No respect for that school whatsoever and try to avoid them at all costs, because there aren't many. SMU is like SFA for rich people. If we're talking about their great MBA program, that's one thing. But the school itself. No. I'm not trying to push any rivalry. I could care less about the old NTSU team getting beat handily by SMU. Anyway, I just genuinely do not like SMU. I didn't even realize SMU was located in Dallas when I lived in Keller. It's irrelevant, and serves the same purpose as an online MBA graduate school...(something we also happen to be very good at.) I don't like what SMU stands for, don't like the people who attend it, I don't like the delusions of its students or alumni, and don't think SMU is worth arguing over. Why don't we argue over ACU? Same difference. SMU is a school famous for cheating, ruining college athletics, and terrible people. Oh, and the term "Boulevarding."

Every SMU person I've ever met is incredibly arrogant, drove a $60,000 car to school, buys their friends, and are generally the type of people who hang out at Public House or The Garage, made famous for their "statutory grape" drink. They usually end up overeducated and under employed, or working for their daddy/daddy's company. Unless you're referring to their MBA program, SMU is a school for people who couldn't get into TCU or Rice but have the money. Personally, I'd never go to a school with a religious affiliation, anyway. I mean, I knew four people who went to SMU from my high school. All were patented pink-polo wearing, lifted F150 or Corvette driving alcoholics that barely graduated. I have no respect for SMU or anything that hellhole stands for. I'd rather go to TCC. Call me jealous all you like...let's just say, I'm in no way jealous. I could've gone to SMU if I so chose.

Mac contract consideration: Brohm at WKU
meangreener replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
I think they're high too, but we need to pony up more than that. In my opinion we need to be in ECU numbers. -
Doubtful on SMU being hard to beat. We have holes...but they have more.

You are just terrible at analyzing basketball. Coaches job is to get everyone on the same page and settle them down when they kept giving up those rebounds off the free throws. One example of Benford'd. Although he is improving...at the cost of the fanbase.
-
It's really frustrating. This is the first game of this season I've attended...and we had more talent. Too many missed free throws, way too many turnovers, lack of blocking inside and the fouls (even though the fouls were incredibly questionable.) Lot of talent, but just doesn't gel. That's coaching. Oh well.

Did anyone see Rick yell at the refs towards the end, evil eye him and chase him down the tunnel? Was amusing. Feel like the Pit Crew did well tonight. Oh well. I'm coming back.
-
I'm bring a few of my old crew to the game. Hope we can revive the Pit Crew...team needs to turn it around and people will come back.

Everyone's back on campus and bored. Should be a decent crowd. No publicity or advertising for it though.

Oh good, a fat coach, heckling should be fun.

UTSA Board: "UNT thinks they can beat the Sith Empire"
meangreener replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Who is "meanergreen"? I'm really tired of him trolling over there, getting messages from some of the UTSA people I'm friends with wondering what is going on, then I go over there and post one comment that isn't really trolling while whoever that is continues to troll, resulting in them posting my old Twitter pictures all over their website. It's creepy and I'm not sure my girlfriend approves that those fat dudebros keep insulting her. Really stupid. They have limited reading comprehension which would explain why they can't discern "meaner" from "greener" but still. I mean, it's not like I publicize my regular twitter anymore, they did in-depth searching. Freaking weirdos.- 40 replies

I think it'd be better to have the SMU player dressed like a hooker in front of the Safeway. But that's just me.

The master plan simply only contains sketches of ways to expand the stadium to a certain size that was provided to us by the architects. Every time actual expansion is discussed, it is discusses in a manner regarding adding an upper deck. HKS reportedly convinced us to add the wing, and then provided plans to get rid/expand if it became necessary.
-
Probably the 6th time I've said this, but the Wing Zone is not in any future expansion plans. At all. Also, the Wing Zone is a major reason as to the noise of the stadium. The entire side of the freeway facing the freeway is built specifically for the Wing Zone and would cost a lot to replace. The next phase of expansion is a second deck on top of the student side. The Wing Zone is the trademark of the stadium. The bridge and logo is all themed after it. The bridge was made specifically so the imposing wing zone would be all you see and built specifically to look imposing from the freeway.

I lied. If SMU gives us enough money to buy out of the series that we can pay Danny Mac enough to keep him from ever leaving, then let's do that.
-
UNT would never ever let SMU out of that series.
-
Personally, I never support expansion to 50K. Look at TCU. This town can not constantly support a team unless it's the Cowboys.
-
12+ years. You create demand first. There is no demand for a bigger stadium. Also expansion could jack with the homefield advantage.

CBSSports.com Final Top 126: A Surprise or 2 For Some?
meangreener replied to PlummMeanGreen's topic in Mean Green Football
Rice was. They embarrassed our conference in the Liberty Bowl. Too bad Marshall was pissed over the homefield thing and slept walked through the CUSA championship. -

Pedestrian Bridge - PAINT THE RUST GREEN!
meangreener replied to greenblooded_gal's topic in Mean Green Football
TXDOT owns the bridge. We can't shine it green and the "rust" is just the color of the exposed metal they put on there...ironically, a rust resistant metal.
