3 plays to get 1 yard. 3 passes. Idiotic.
-
Why anyone would want to play DB in today's game is beyond me.
-
On one player, too.

This officiating crew is embarrassing. SMU’s the only team that showed up to perform.
-
Some of these calls are hot trash.

The other pick is the Bahamas Bowl against Western Michigan. I'm guessing those would be our floor/ceiling.

Gary in Arkadelphia shares his thoughts on Arky loss to UNT

This is amazing! -
How do you go about getting tickets? Where do the visitor fans usually sit?
-
I'm just going to be honest. After last night, I don't think any of us believe that this team is a bowl-bound team. Now if DW gets some playing time and can turn things around, then that might change. Maybe we'll win 6 games, maybe we won't. I guess what I'm trying to say is this: Why does this team deserve a sell-out crowd? Last year's bowl turnout was deserved, and from what I've heard about the pre-Dodge days, the team was somewhat competitive so the turnout was usually deserved. Last night's team deserved a 16,000 stadium.

I'm planning on heading down to Austin for the UT game. Does anybody have any info on ticket sales? Will tickets be sold the closer we get to August 30th? Any info would be fantastic!

I think it'll be close enough to make the fans and alumni really question if Charlie Strong was the right guy to replace Mack.

How are we one spot behind Rice? Did the BCS not see the stand? And we have a tough game against #999 UTSA this week, so that's where our focus should be.

What's your connection and why do you follow UNT?
7travis5 replied to Travis's topic in Mean Green Football
Grew up in San Antonio, moved up to the DFW area in 2007, graduated from high school in 2010, and I wanted a 4-year university close to home. I couldn't afford Baylor or SMU. I didn't want to watch D-II or D-III talent for 4 years, so I decided on UNT because it fit the bill. As far as sports, I'm a huge Spurs fan and I've been lucky enough to be a Rangers fan for this sudden spurt of baseball excellence, so cheering for UNT is a different experience. My dad is a HUGE Texas fan, so that was my team for my whole life, until I came to UNT of course. North Texas has been poop for so long, and with former classmates going to A&M and Baylor and Texas, it's been hard hearing about success (minus UT) for the past few years. And truth be told, it's been hard to keep loyal to this team. But I really think this year has changed things. I will always love this school, but with this being my senior year, I don't think there will ever be a football team I love more than this year's, especially if we win C-USA and a bowl game. (Hit 11?) -
Their whole entire offense is a mess. I played football in high school with one of UTEP's running backs, and he isn't thrilled with how things are going. They're just a bad...BAD team.

http://www.conferenceusa.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/092313aad.html Brelan Chancellor was named the C-USA Special Teams Player of the Week, completing a Mean Green Sweep of each POW award. Week 1- Zach Orr, Defensive Player of the Week Week 3- Derek Thompson, Offensive Player of the Week Week 4- Brelan Chancellor, Special Teams Player of the Week Pretty impressive for a team that was picked to finish 5th in the West Division in the Preseason Poll.

For the football team. I think we have the right to project ahead. We aren't the ones suiting up.
-
But they were still touchdowns right? Make all the excuses you want, we played you guys closer than you would have liked.
-
You're kidding right...?
-
I want to add one more complaint: I am sick and tired of seeing Zac Whitfield getting burned down field for massive touchdowns. That is all.
