It would be super awesome for Troy to go down today. Go Panthers. Edit: The Sun Belt Network's sideline girl is as stiff as a plank of wood. Also, the rest of the planet has come into widescreen 16:9 aspect ratios, why does the SBN insist on 4:3??

Idaho AD seems to forget that we'll be C-USA next year... -

Smaller government as in the elimination of the Departments of Education, Commerce and Energy, TSA and IRS?? I'm way in favor of reducing redundancies and bureaucracies that go nowhere but outright elimination?? That's pretty extreme to me.

This last year is certainly proving an intent on his behalf towards being one. Really asking. I'm more curious to know if anyone followed Texas politics well enough in the 90s to support or deny some of the stuff I've learned of Sadler. And I'll reword: give me a moderate centrist Democrat rather than a extreme tea party Republican any day of the week to represent Texas. Historically, Texas has had great success under Democrats who put common sense before ideology.

First, I think Kay Bailer Hutchison is/was an amazing Senator. She really exemplified the pre-2000s style of politician in being able to debate and come to compromise, not stall and indignantly hold up Congress. And thus, I'm morbidly horrified of the Republican nominee to fill her place in Ted Cruz. All he ever appears to offer is the place of vitriolic tea partier lap dog. This then gets me actually pumped to learn more and more of the Democratic challenger, Paul Sadler. He has a brilliant record in our state of being able to do the sort of work that Hutchison did at the Federal level and is much closer to what the political landscape should be: give me centrism over isolationism any day of the week. And then all of a sudden DMN: http://www.dallasnews.com/opinion/editorials/20121018-editorial-we-recommend-paul-sadler-for-u.s.-senate.ece Coming from them....just woah. So, what does GoMeanGreen think about this race, one that I believe has a lot more at stake for Texans than the Presidential one does?

And where the hell does that talk come from? Besides, Mac has already indicated that this is where he wants fulfill the remainder of his career.

We need more polls like this, by the way.

Muscles Glasses McCarney briefly removed his glasses, and DT's life was henceforth changed... -

On the security bit in general: they are a tad over-zealous at times. There was once way back when at the Texas Southern game where I was walking around with my Muscles Glasses McCarney sign and one of the security supervisors stopped me and demanded that I left; apparently in his opinion, signs were not allowed. He didn't take me laughing him off very well. At the Troy game, I came a bit more prepared with an email clearance from AD. Was still stopped when getting my ticket scanned and told to leave the sign outside. Absolutely ridiculous, but a flash of the email got me through. I know their jobs are really unforgiving, but that's just nonsense. *On a related note, while my wife and I were spending part of our honeymoon this summer in the Pacific Northwest, we stopped in Portland for a few days and happen upon a 30-block street fair. Thousands upon thousands of people milling about and having a good time, and not one security guard or police officer to be seen down the whole stretch of it all! I couldn't believe it - we had never been to a large event where the perceived need for police or security was non-existant. It made me feel that much safer to think that this sort of thing would not cause problems. So, what else in life do you think we could be just civil and jovial about, rather than be paranoid and rack up security pay for?

What is your favorite Apogee Concession?
Christopher Walker replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
We have turkey legs!?! -
RV once touted to a group of SGA/SAC/GrnJackets/etc. before Apogee opened that it boasted double the lumens out of its lighting than that of other "prime time" (constant ESPN fixtures). But. It doesn't seem to extend to the stands. The field is amazingly bright; the lack of any lighting reaching up to say the Wings greatly diminishes visibility up there and makes that section look odd - like some V-shaped silhouette.

Rushing the field after Indiana (and ONLY because they were a Big10-er)..... 2/3 worthy. Rushing the field after overcoming an in conference opponent..... 0/3 worthy.

That guy was such a lame wannabe... ...but not as lame as LaLa's run defense, amiright?
