  1. So both of the links in my first post point towards what I will be needing, which is both broad strokes (general program history), and some specifics (greatest plays ever, greatest plays last season).
  2. It might work out better to DM me your ideas and thoughts, and closer to the posting date, I'll run this article again.
  3. Hey folks, So a user named TexaninNYC and I will are participating in a grand series of Reddit/r/CFB threads that is covering 139 college football teams in as many days to fill the time before the 2013 season. Essentially, fans are asked to go in depth and profile their alma maters in glorious Reddit fashion for all the upvotes, praise and discussion of 47,000 Redditors in the College Football subreddit. Example, today's profile of the Tulane Green Wave: http://www.reddit.com/r/CFB/comments/1bnz54/132_teams_in_132_days_the_tulane_green_wave/ Rather than attempt to compile all of the information required myself (w/Tex'n'NYC), I figured why not open it up and crowd-source this? So, if you have anything in particular you want mentioned in this format, please do not hesitate to PM me. We have some time to make this good - they obviously did not take much of the conference realignment picture into their scheduling, and thus we've been lumped to present with the rest of the Sun Belt in early July. Ugh, I know. So anywho, fire away!
  4. They do it seemingly every semester. having participated in the past, it is indeed quite enjoyable.
  5. I was the Senator at the time who authored most of that bill in 2009. I subsequently was the one who had to battle uphill left and right to get the thing out of committee and to the floor; voted upon; struggled with our then Speaker when the final amended and passed legislation was "lost"; and then played out a waltz with our SGA President at the time to come to terms on the whole ordeal. The piece was never "found", the President took surveys and field studies until his term expired, and the bill that should have been just up and disappeared. The following semester, SGA attempts to wash their hands of the whole ordeal by getting rid of any input on homecoming activities. It was sad, petty, but totally worth it: because for two years I got to witness first-hand the pathetic 'wins' and back-room 'losses' of 'legislating'. I just wished for the LGBT groups I worked with, the outcome had been different. Are you sure the T isn't for Transgender? Because the two are wholly separate.
  6. Okay, as someone who works in the MPAC in RecServ and knows every detail of that performance, you're not quite right. They did not do everything they needed to beforehand as far as backend prep goes, but once they were in the hall, they worked really well with the MPAC staff. They even modified their performance set to be more appropriate to the venue. It was mixed really well and there were many laughs had afterwards in regards to a bowed-electric bass foundationally resonating Winspear for the first time. I know there were questions beforehand, but I believe Graeme, Brian, Blair, and Rebecca count that one as a super-successful MPAC event.
  7. I don't understand how he's able to use the exact same twitter handle designation....that's the fascinating bit to me.
  8. Silver, how do you get to watch and get to soak in so much of Spring Practice?? Last year, a buddy of mine and I were riding our bikes around Apogee and just around the area, and took a breather by the practice fields and looked on for a couple of minutes. We were cut short though, because RV literally walked over to us and told us to buzz off/closed practice/etc. That always irked me the wrong way.
  9. Actually, I have witnessed Veldon Lane Rawlins look straight at representatives from the Intrafraternity Council and say, "look, you all are not as important as you think you are." I love the man's candor. If anything, he's had a hand in reigning in the Greeks to some degree.
  10. Actually, its legislating against those clowns.
  11. Dang, Papa Bear. I went to his office yesterday to invite him to my senior composition recital. This is my fault.
  12. Seriously! It's high time you all learned how to Internet!
  13. Guess I posted this earlier in the wrong forum...
  14. Holy cow, I have a lot of friends at Kenn-State. Wow.
  15. http://youtu.be/Zce-QT7MGSE Looks like they need to venture across the highway and learn a thing or two from the College of Music's really successful streaming program: http://recording.music.unt.edu
  16. Long pants? Like these? I mean, if mom jeans are you're thing. , Mark.
  17. Dang, generational gaps are funny things. Everyone I know is in complete accord that it was the best halftime show in years, and done dominantly without a single male on-stage. It was incredible. Furthermore, both the Sandy Hook Elem + Jennifer Hudson rendition of America The Beautiful and Alicia Keys' National Anthem were spot-on. *source of opinion*: music composition senior at the largest college of music in the country. AND. To completely top it all off, the main event was absolutely the best Super Bowl I've watched in my lifetime.
  18. Yeah, that was weird. Okay. I have been, for a month, formulating an open letter to RV to be sent to his office and published in the NTDaily Views section calling for Benford's immediate or immediately-following the SBT removal. This lashing out at Brady and misrepresenting our university is kinda the final straw for me, but I want to make sure I have the exact details of how everything happened on the floor before I add this to my diatribe. Can anyone corroborate stories? Vito I suppose should make mention of this soon enough on the blog...
