Need input regarding a C-USA Texas team trophy
Christopher Walker replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
So for those wanting an object related to the sport included in the flag design, here's a quick mockup with a football. I will say I like this less though.- 77 replies

You know, with as many creatives that come from UNT, you'd think we have a leg-up on this sort of thing. Alas, no. http://www.goutsa.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=208628261&DB_OEM_ID=13100 This, ladies and gents, is cool and a quality example of how to engage a fanbase.

Need input regarding a C-USA Texas team trophy

I like where your heads at, but part of what makes that design so awesome is its minimal simplicity. Having all four logos across it would diminish it, I think. Actually, I take that back. Here ya go: Black & White Color Obviously, B&W is better. And it's now that I realize we're the only one in the bunch that doesn't have a color-block style logo. Someone should get on that.- 77 replies

Tulane QB not impressed with C-USA teams
Christopher Walker replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
And by someone, I hope we mean our Lombardi nominee. -
Incorrect. As more and more individuals are figuring out, the NCAA is not exactly necessary or even appreciated when it comes to college football anymore. They could go through individual universities, but won't actually need to because of the CLC or Collegiate Licensing Corporation, which bundles such naming rights for all 127 FBS-playing schools at once. For further takes on why this really is a non-issue, see this article on SBNation.

1) I was led to believe the mere thought of black jerseys and this situation left such a collective bad taste in the Mean Green's mouth that the notion of ever doing them again was a non-starter. "A guy can hope..."

1. Home-opener. 2. Getting to manage the Alumni Pavilion some more - I love this space. 3. Brock Berglund - here's to hoping. 4. Zach Orr - let's make a Lombardi run! 5. Hosting all of Texas late in the season - come see what you've been missing UTEP, UTSA, Rice.

Oh man, on the sleeves in the military fashion? I'd die from happiness.

Really? 'Cause I pulled their info from various spirit pages but most from the Traditions page of UNT...

Sorry, dude. Not getting it.

Did you notice the whole slew of construction around the peripheral edges of campus? Where the temporary buildings/structures for The Chat, Bookstore, Dance & Theatre, and Counseling, etc. are being put in right now? Those have to be completed and their programs and offices moved before anything substantial can start on the Union.

RV talked the lighting up a lot, but alas it is not actually as bright as he says it is - or - if so, then the camera teams are doing something wrong then. And I'm coming from the perspective of having been to every game and watching replays on TV. In person: come sundown, the light distribution is shown to be painfully inadequate and only barely covers the field - much less any other portion of the complex. On TV and in that clip above: it looks actually more like someone left neutral density filters on like you would for a noon game or any other shoot out in the middle of the day. Colors are flat, and crowd shots are super, super dim. This has always been my only complaint of Apogee, and RV super overhyped it. Proper term here is candela, but a more appropriate term for the conversation is lumens. EDIT, source of knowledge and opinion: I've worked in broadcast for a decade now and one of my first positions was in color and light correction; I've been at it for a while.

I ditto this ditto.

Hey guys, c'mon. We're on the same team here.

That'd be swell and all, but not after the fire has started. Have any of ya'll been back for the bonfires as of late? THEY'RE MASSIVE - supposedly largest in the state and largest pallett-based bonfire on the planet. We keep ourselves separated to it by a freaking pond and the earth all around it tends to get scorched by effect from the wind. It's...... ...beautiful. This post has been promoted to an article

In Apogee's brief history, I know in the biggest games with strong visiting turnout - namely Indiana and Houston - that portions of the WingZone and Sections 114 & 115 underneath the smaller video board tend to become really mixed. Not sure if this is by nature or mixed parties though.

Thanks again everyone. If anyone has the AD hook up, looking at you Mark, I was curious as to what they thought of it.
