  1. Seeing a lot of these this week
  2. Drummond has 77 total touchdowns on the season (59 passing and 18 rushing). Mason Fine had 81 total touchdowns his junior season (71 passing and 10 rushing) which I believe is the state record).
  3. I’m really excited about the young guys, particularly Rubin Jones and Abou Ousmane. If we’re going to get better as a program, we need to be bringing in players who end up better than the guys who preceded them. I think that’s going to be the case for those two. Also hope to see more Mykell Robinson as the season goes on. 6’7” wing who can shoot should be able to help on both sides of the ball.
  4. Agreed. This is no small undertaking so it is much appreciated.
  5. Is this supposed to be in agreement or opposition with my point? Because if you’re thinking it’s in opposition, it’s not.
  6. Years ago this board was complaining that we needed to up our coach's salaries so we could be competitive in finding good candidates. Now everyone is complaining that we pay our head coach to get our ass kicked by coaches making over $1 million a year less than him. SMH
  7. He had already received at least one raise, maybe two PRIOR to the 19-20 season. There was no reason for that. He won 20 games each of his first two seasons but he was already being paid plenty. He was already being paid to win 20 games, at least, given the OOC schedules. Like @greenjoesaid, we continually act like these guys have to be retained at all costs as soon as there is even a modicum of success. Good coaches can have success here, but as soon as one does we treat him like he’s the only who possibly could. Same for QBs.
  8. Honestly I think it has more to do with roster construction. We have 17 true freshmen and 17 redshirt freshmen on the roster, and they all will retain that same eligibility next season. We don’t need 50+ freshmen on next year’s roster. It’s unfortunate but the 2021 class is getting screwed because transfers are going to take up more spots in each team’s 25, partly because of COVID, partly because of the new transfer rule.
  9. We should have about 7 spots left in our class and I expect almost all to go to transfers, D1 or JUCO. I’m sure they are monitoring very closely.
  10. Terrible. Swallowing their whistle on that Hamlet drive is BS
  11. Man, what a half by Rubin Jones. Equally bad by Simmons, unfortunately. Especially on defense, he has been an absolute liability.
  12. Played so well defensively in the first half, can’t get a stop when we need one in the second.
  13. They have gotten some bail out calls for sure
  14. Some of these offensive rebounds we are giving up are tough. Gotta limit them better either way.
  15. Rubin Jones has been solid on the defensive end. Really impressive. Knew he could play offensively but he’s going to be a stud early. Need him to pull from deep with less hesitation, because he might be our best shooter.
  16. We were 2-13 from 3 against Arkansas and 0-7 to start tonight. We made such big offensive strides last season and we just look lost against good competition like we did at the beginning of last year. Pump fakes with no real plan, which is leading to blocked shots and turnovers. Two straight games
  17. Can’t have a bad shooting night just because the shots are contested. That’s what the looks are gonna be against an SEC team
  18. Did anyone see Greg White suited up for any of these games? He hasn’t made a catch since the MTSU game and I don’t recall seeing him lately, but he still shows up on the roster. Even though he is shown on the roster as #14 still, true freshman QB Luke Gombert is also listed as #14, so wondering if he was able to get that number because it came available.
  19. We signed him as part of our 2019 class but he never made it to campus or the roster
  20. Bean played decently but the biggest problem with him at QB is it’s pretty clear Littrell doesn’t trust him. You have to trust your QB to push the ball, not even downfield necessarily but in the intermediate ranges. He just hasn’t been even giving him much of a chance there. We’ve got some pretty glaring personnel issues and Littrell needs to feel the heat enough to address them. You don’t trust your QB? Get one you do. Your defense keeps getting shredded and your still playing the same guys all season? Get some upgrades. Whether we consider him on the hot seat or not, he has to feel enough pressure to not keep allowing the same mistakes to be made. Everything feels way too status quo and this sure as hell better not be okay as the status quo. Even the coordinator firings didn’t yield any substantial change.
  21. Our coaching staff loves certain players who don’t do anything to warrant the trust. Makyle Sanders is one of them. If our coaches thing he’s the best we have, they have to address that this offseason and feel heat if they can’t do anything about it. He’s not the only one.
