  1. Any Tee Goree sightings? Or other recruits for that matter. Stuck in a hospital for the day
  2. Looks like sarge has been a monster. Whole d-line for that matter.
  3. Stuck in a hospital today, can't watch the game. Can someone tell me what's going on with our offense? I really feel like we should be putting up more points against this defense after watching them play a few more games this year.
  4. 7-7, UTSA ties it up. We're rolling, so it's okay to do a little scoreboard watching. At least for us fans.
  5. 7-0 tulane. 1:00 left in the half
  6. People are picking on you for saying it as if it's justification for still keeping Benford as our coach.
  7. Exactly. After this year our only returning receivers over 6' tall are Darius Terrell and Rod Lancaster, who we know very little about since he's been injured his two years here. Would be nice to add size to compliment our quick guys.
  8. Goree is ours to lose at this point if he's coming to Denton today. Announcing in just 17 days. If we can pull goree and his teammate Rutherford then we'd be set. And don't forget about ole Carlos Harris having a great year.
  9. 1000 yards in a 10 game regular season is very impressive. Kid is a playmaker.
  10. I think there's too much pride on the side of both parties for that to happen.
  11. Scott Cross is exactly who I was thinking and would want. I'm from Arlington and seeing what he did with indeed the worst facilities is beyond impressive. He's brought in some solid recruits and he develops them very well. Only thing is UTA is his alma mater. I hope we could pull him away, because he would be a very nice hire.
  12. Exactly what I got from that post. Ridiculous. I guess with enough excuses you really can justify just about anything.
  13. Interesting
  14. People are tired of hearing justifications and excuses on why things aren't "that bad." The more excuses, the longer Benford is given passes and more time to fix things. But he isn't exactly fixing things. Keeping things positive isn't a bad thing. Pretending everything is okay and things are going to get better if everything remains the way it is, is a bad thing. Disclaimer: Not saying you were pretending everything is okay, just explaining why you will get dislikes if you post like that.
  15. Not what I meant by you not being serious. We should beat the NAIA national champion by 30+. This was a team in it's second year of existence coming off a 4 win season in NAIA competition. This should've been a 50 point win at home. I haven't argued with you about your support for Benford, but this absolutely is not progress.
  16. Please tell me you aren't serious
  17. Ernie Kuehne, and really every alumni and donor, really deserves better.
  18. My opinion as well, but it's going to have to be a wait-and-see approach until this is proven on the field.
  19. I think he wants to build up the RPI this early in this season. Just in case he doesn't get to use all 4 suits again and we need to rely on an at-large bid.
  20. Sorry to bump this thread this late, but it had me thinking. We had two threads on DT going this week, and I think they'll be answered next year. If our offense, in particular our passing game, really does improve next year even without Chancellor and Smith than that almost essentially proves he was "the elephant in the room" and might have been holding the team back. Also might invalidate his first-ballot hall of fame status. Alternatively, if our offense and passing game struggle without DT, Smith, and Chancellor then we will realize how valuable and good DT really was. It'll be interesting to follow. But for now let's just keep enjoying the ride and hope DT can take us to the new heights we hope to and are capable of reaching.
  21. Must be too busy doing the other kind of penetrating
  22. Looks like it'll be a rebuilding year. That's alright as long as the young guys come along. About that, how do our underclassmen look?
  23. Our schedule will get tougher over time but as far as next year, replacing Tulane and Tulsa with UAB and Southern Miss will make things easier at least for next year. Southern miss won't be down long, but they've still got a ways to go. UTSA loses Soza so I expect a bit of a drop off, UTEP still has a ways to go, La tech could be a tough team but we should get them at home, and then Rice loses a lot of seniors but will still probably be our biggest hurdle in the division, especially if we get them at home. Another favorable schedule IMO.
  24. Completely agree with you Harry. Also, don't underestimate our recruiting class. This one is shaping up to be Mac's best class yet and with more instant impact guys than he's had in a class yet. Future is bright!
