This is the hardest part to believe as realistic. Even if we won 9-11 games, P5 donors (who evaluate candidates much more surface level than ADs) would be scared off by his record the last 3 seasons.

Before today I actually thought Rice was one of the few teams, outside of UAB/La Tech/WKU, that had enough firepower to score against our defense and keep up with us. Our defense and effort is so high-level that the majority of CUSA teams just don’t stand much of a chance against this team.
-
Defense has been great, shooting has been so so. We are a really bad free-throw shooting team outside of Perry. Hope we can get a little more reliability there in conference play.

Correct
-
Yeah but to their point, not like ESPN+ means ESPN brings their camera and production crew.

NT 36 — Rice 20 Story of the half is our 26-14 rebounding edge, thanks to our 14 offensive rebounds.
-
NT 26 — Rice 15 3:58 left in the 1st. Got a little sloppy there offensively but defensive tenacity and effort level has been consistent
-
NT 21 — Rice 11 8:01 left in the 1st 3 ball finally starting to fall, lead starting to grow

North Texas Offers ACU QB Stone Earle

They’re both on scholarship. Littrell said on signing day that the plan was always to bring in at least two QBs through the portal. -
Different night?

Oh hel… um, I mean, thank the Lord!

Not that I saw. But a Senior 1,200 yard rusher sitting out a bowl game is much more likely than him suddenly struggling with meeting grade eligibility requirements for the first time in 5 years of college.

No. He was a senior in 2020 and took advantage of the extra COVID season this year. He’s out of eligibility. Darden did last year.

He participated in Senior day so it was expected, to at least some degree, that he would not be returning.

Chad Morris was on UNT sideline yesterday with his son
BillySee58 replied to meangreen11's topic in Mean Green Football
Think he would have to sit out a season since that would be his second transfer -
Had Torrey played and outperformed Ragsdale I would be willing to walk those back. But we saw a handful of games where Torrey was unable to break into the 4 yards/carry range bc the blocking wasn’t there. Not convinced yesterday would have been any difference with the lack of holes.

Guess it’s just a matter of waiting on the official announcement at this point. Hope we can still get our Saturday game in.

It is kind of tricky because they show a lot of players as Seniors when in reality a good chunk of them have Junior eligibility. They rolled their players’ grade classifications forward on their roster even though eligibility was truly frozen during the 2020 season. But still expected that they will lose a huge chunk of players, including McCormick. Frank Harris has stated that he will be returning

Not sure if this is a mistake or not but the game is showing as canceled on ESPN.com. Our team site and Tulsa’s do not show a cancellation. Not seeing any reports yet indicating a cancellation either.

We have played 10 games

Yeah local sports media (in markets outside DFW) have not caught up yet. Our reputation is good among ADs and Coaches and such, but not big enough that our names precede us to people who we don’t overlap with.

Our NET is +23 today. Went up from 95 to 72. https://www.ncaa.com/rankings/basketball-men/d1/ncaa-mens-basketball-net-rankings

With Isaiah Crawford out for the season recently too. Whether they can pull it off or not, CUSA has 4 really quality teams at the top. Same 4 that were in the CUSA semis last season.
