  1. 6'1" 194 lb safety from the Houston area. Second defensive player named Jordon Williams this class who we've offered (Jordan Williams, spelled different, LB from Paris). Could potentially outgrow the safety position, especially in our scheme where we love these smaller, speedy outside linebacker types. Also holds offers from Iowa State, Rice, and Utah. 2. 6'4" 180 lb receiver from Tyler John Tyler. We are his first offer. This is likely because his production has not been great, but his potential is very impressive. Had about 368 yards receiving as well as 4 receiving touchdowns on 29 catches. Also plays basketball. Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1826411/rodney-bendy http://sbb.scout.com/a.z?s=381&p=8&c=1&nid=7624752 http://247sports.com/Player/Rodney-Bendy-59824 https://rivals.yahoo.com/footballrecruiting/football/recruiting/player-Rodney-Bendy-163855 http://espn.go.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/198985/rodney-bendy
  3. Mccrary's right at the the top of my wish list for this class. I think he'll be a day 1 contributor at safety if we can land him, and legitimately capable of playing either safety position. He could play receiver as well, but I really believe his potential is greatest at safety. Once again, really hope this guy is a class priority.
  4. Yes. He was listed as an officially signee of MGS and talked about during the signing day pressers.
  5. High School: Norman North (Norman, Oklahoma) AAU: Athletes First http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=s4_-ztcSvGM http://future150.com/jr/basketball-profiles/trae-young-sg-2017 http://247sports.com/Player/Trae-Young-56638 http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/recruiting/player-Trae-Young-156760 Has also been offered by Texas Tech, Kansas State, SMU, and UTA.
  6. High School: AAA Academy AAU: Air 1 Athletes http://future150.com/hs/basketball-profiles/jamar-sandifer-sg-2016 http://www.ncsasports.org/mens-basketball-recruiting/tx/dallas/triple-a-academy/jamar-sandifer http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/recruiting/player-Jamar-Sandifer-158723 Note: Rivals graduation date is currently wrong, as it has Sandifer as a 2014 recruit.
  7. This year should be a good indicator of that question. Looks like we're going to sign a lot of linemen this year, on both sides of the ball. As for last year, not very highly rated d-line signees, but they look promising. Tillman Johnson lived in the backfield and had 37 TFLs and TJ Tauaalo was honorable mention all-state at DT. Fun fact: Offensive lineman Chris Miles had the most offers (listed) of all our 2014 signees.
  8. Sorry, spelled his name wrong. It's Erik with a K, and forgot to put Lufkin.
  9. 6'4" 300 lb offensive lineman from Lufkin. Made 1st team all district last year. We are his 5th offer, with him also holding offers from Louisiana Lafayatte, Houston, Arkansas State, and Oklahoma State. Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1378663/erik-mccoy http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fmgWUfmwAmE Interview: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kS7uxAJLr3k http://247sports.com/Player/Erik-McCoy-29117 http://espn.go.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/185693/erik-mccoy http://recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=7384311 https://sports.yahoo.com/footballrecruiting/football/recruiting/player-Erik-McCoy-146703
  10. 6'3" 215 lb player from Fort Bend/Missouri City Elkins high school. Plays on the d-line but could project to linebacker in college. Pretty good closing speed. Apparently had a 39.7" vertical at the Houston Sparq combine and ran a 4.68 40 (laser-timed). Sparq score actually ranked right up with the top ones in the country. Also holds a Colorado State offer. Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1395417/highlights/109363375 http://247sports.com/Player/Leroy-Godfrey-47647 http://espn.go.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/194133/leroy-godfrey
  11. 6'4" 330 lb offensive lineman from Houston. Was 1st team all district 21-5A last year as a junior. Plays left guard for his high school, and likely will stay at guard in college. Pretty quick for a 330 lb kid. We are his second offer, with La Tech being the other. Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1387486/highlights/118635378 http://247sports.com/Player/Tyler-Moore-20617 http://recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=7245453 https://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Tyler-Moore-151367
  12. Thank this man.https://twitter.com/untsportsnewz/status/461924271741095936
  13. 6'3" 180 lb receiver. Did I mention we were targeting a lot of outside receivers? Ranked 91st in the preseason Texas Top 100 on rivals. Had 1025 yards receiving and 15 td catches on 60 receptions. Also holds offers from Houston, Illinois, and Fresno State. Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/747122/sam-mays http://sports.yahoo.com/theoldcoach/football/recruiting/player-Sam-Mays-152240 http://247sports.com/Player/Samuel-Mays-29375 http://recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=6981360 http://espn.go.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/185267/samuel-mays
  14. 6'3" 235 lb defensive end from Itawamba CC in Mississippi. 1st JUCO d-line offer for this class, to my knowledge. Also holds offers from Southern Miss and Southern Alabama. Looks like he'd come in with 3 years to play 2 seasons (come in as a true junior). Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/631170/xavier-pegues http://247sports.com/Player/Xavier-Pegues-18415 http://stats.njcaa.org/sports/fball/2013-14/players/xavierpegues4ocb High school: http://recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=5919778 http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Xavier-Pegues-139719
  15. Vito's recruiting blog series: http://share.d-news.co/YWDCjad Looks like Jackson is being recruited as an interior offensive lineman.
  16. Looking more and more like Underwood will be answering those questions against us, at Southern Miss.
  17. Pretty sure by OSU you meant Oklahoma State, but Ohio State just offered. I don't think TCU holds on to him, especially if he has a big senior season. With another key player arrested and kicked out of the program, TCU is really struggling since joining the Big 12.
  18. It looks like we're going the opposite direction (East) with our out of state offers, besides Oklahoma of course. We appear to be recruiting the southeast a little, which I love. Got some offers out in Georgia, North Carolina, Louisiana, potentially Florida, and we appear to have an eye on states like Mississippi, Tennessee, and Alabama. That's where we should do our out of state recruiting IMO. With our exposure in those states only getting better due to being in CUSA, we can steal kids out of our conference mates backyards without having to put a ton of resources into those states like we did with Louisiana a couple years ago. Very rich states in HS football talent, whereas most Mountain West schools have to do most of their recruiting in California, which is a little out of our exposure range.
  19. http://sports.yahoo.com/highschool/football/recruiting/player-Rashad-Jackson-123897http://sports.yahoo.com/highschool/football/recruiting/player-Vershad-Jackson-123272 They've since chosen to transfer here, but out of high school they choose New Mexico over us. Last class we kicked their tail in recruiting. They got Aaron Jenkins over us, but our offer to him came early and I don't think we were actively recruiting him anymore at the time he committed to UNM. https://rivals.yahoo.com/northtexas/football/recruiting/player-Aaron-Jenkins-129488;_ylt=AjMjiydXRpLzerYLO1ns6uzISMJ_ We did, however get Chris Miles, Willy Ivery, and Fonzale Davis (they offered after he committed to us) over New Mexico last class. My point is, you're right. We should be beating them. Unfortunately it hasn't exactly been a sure win returning against them. This class should be a big step up for us, which means not just beating bigger schools out for recruits, but winning these type of battles every single time. Bullying some teams on the recruiting trail.
  20. Just saw that on twitter right after, lol. I was going through that list thinking "I bet we might offer Green soon, the way we've been offering outside receivers."
  21. 6'4" 188 lb receiver from Moore, Oklahoma, Westmoore high (our 2014 signee Jalen Adams was from Southmoore high). Had 700 yards and 10 touchdowns on 40 catches last year, according to his highlights. Again, yet another tall, outside receiver we've offered, per UNTRecruitingnewz on twitter. Number 5 in the preseason Oklahoma top 15 on rivals tha I just posted. Offer list also includes Louisville, Kentucky, Illinois, Cincinatti, Kentucky, and Tulsa among others. Highlights: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2615683/highlights/76151377 http://sports.yahoo.com/footballrecruiting/football/recruiting/player-Dahu-Green-155092;_ylt=Aq2yvzyESLX..5bnXvfFuklGPZB4 http://247sports.com/Player/Dahu-Green-35841 http://espn.go.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/189755/dahu-green http://recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=7268902
  22. Figured this might be relevant with the way we've been recruiting Oklahoma. Guys we have offered like Kaden Jackson, Davion Freeman, Riley Daniel, and Darreyl Patterson are not on the list. Some names on here to keep an eye on, like Mahlik Hanna who I've previously mentioned that I really like. http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/rankings/rank-3411/0
