  1. Yup. Hard to call him a commit, with a straight face. Who else ends up offering is huge. If it's just SMU we have a chance. But like you said, hopefully we get him because he would be among our most talented signees. The thought of SMU getting Preston and Mccrary from us is hard to stomach.
  2. Greer's senior season high school stats. http://www.maxpreps.com/athlete/josh-greer/S2yYzvTpEeKZ5AAmVebBJg/default.htm

  4. SMU has entered the picture
  5. Thompson did okay, but 8 tds against 10 ints in conference play, like he had last year, may not be enough to go 6-2 this year. Again, not putting blame on DT alone or saying he didn't do a lot for us. But it just looks like we're going to need more from our qbs this season. And less turnovers. Like 97and03 says, it doesn't matter if it's a game-manager or a dual-threat qb, or if it's even the qbs fault. A turnover is a turnover and a pick six is a pick six.
  6. Yup. Kidsy will be vital to this offense. Dude is just fluid. Good speed, but he's elusive with the ball in his hands.
  7. Thank you very much! I appreciate the insight.
  8. Well that's good the somewhat unproven players in our front 7 must be playing well. With those 3 you mentioned not playing, that means our defense is playing today with just 1 returning starter on the entire defense, and apparently performing well. Do you know who's playing in Akunne's spot? I think Wallace would be a good fit there, at SAM, for next season. Or who's getting the most reps at free safety?
  9. Rated a 3-star on ESPN, with a rating of 73
  10. Was given a rating of 78 on ESPN. 70-79 is a 3-star, so he's almost a 4-star on ESPN. Second-highest rated player we've ever had on ESPN since they started rating recruits, behind Riley Dodge. http://espn.go.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/198995/sam-miller
  11. Not as long as he doesn't mention him by name. Players can't be mentioned by name until they sign.
  12. Also, Chumley is on there but Jackson and Graham aren't. And Wallace is on there, so you can likely include OL Sam Rice as a commit at this point for this year's class
  13. https://twitter.com/dlinekp/status/500107414621134849 Tweet from last night. So yup.
  14. Commits to Texas State. Perhaps the ole domino effect.

  16. https://twitter.com/d_2legitt/status/499957659882123264 I usually don't post tweets unless they're clearly 100% football related, but this one caught my attention scrolling through my TL. Wondering if he's starting to get a sense of urgency.
  17. I can't believe I'm falling into a classic TFLF troll trap, but Foles was 11th in the NFL in qb rushing yards and 6th in qb rushing touchdowns, despite not being the starter from week 1. He's not a great runner, but he does enough for the system to still work. But yeah, believe it or not there are mobile qbs winning championships. It's almost as if multiple approaches can work.
  18. No kidding. Or better yet, go watch a Philadelphia Eagles game. That chump Chip Kelly tried way too hard to reinvent the wheel, and for some reason an NFL team hired him. But it'll never work in the NFL. Just like how Kelly could never win a national championship in college. Too bad he ran into an Auburn team with Cam Newton and Gus Malzahn, that ran the exact same offense.
  19. http://coachingsearch.247sports.com/Article/Rewarding-a-walk-on-Inside-the-mind-of-a-head-coach-30296276 Interesting article, considering how relevant this is to us with our walkon program. Walkons put on scholarship took up 4 scholarships in our 2014 class.
