Yeah, either way pretty clear his size is what is keeping him from being more of a legitimate FBS prospect. It'll be interesting to see how hard we recruit him. We've offered kids but we haven't really recruited many out of state kids (besides the Oklahoma kids) very hard after the offer. This is one of the few kids we've offered this cycle who actually has an offer list we could realistically get. Wayyyy too many of our offers this cycle have been to kids we have no shot at.

The weight and 40 are sparq verified, because they are in green. The height is not in green, hence not sparq verified.

Not necessarily. Our series with Army ends in 2021. If we scheduled a 2-for-1 from 2022 through 2024 we wouldn't have to have any 5-home-game schedules. Assuming we continue to follow the model of getting paid to play one body-bag game and paying to bring in one FCS school, here's how the schedule would look: 2022: - Away at P5 body bag - Home against FCS - Home against SMU - Away at P5 2-for-1 - 4 conference home and 4 conference away games 2023: - Away at P5 body bag - Home against FCS - Away at SMU - Home against P5 2-for-1 - 4 conference home games and 4 conference away games 2024: - Away at P5 body bag - Home against FCS - Home against SMU - Away against P5 2-for-1 - 4 conference home and 4 conference away games Then you make sure you start off at home in the home-and-home series you start in 2025 and you would have all 6-game home schedules.

When you use the word "ever," there doesn't have to be a trend. Just an example.

Thomas is a JUCO, which is what I put in the title. I put the name of the high school or JUCO in the title if they're in Texas, since board members will know the schools over here. If they're from out of state I put the state in the title, and then the high school or JUCO in the OP. That way it'll still come up if they Google the players name and their school. That's just a general explanation for anyone, not just to AAUNT. In my experience of googling these players, their GMG profile doesn't pop up any higher whether or not the school name is listed in the title or the OP.

No, but there's a mod to program in the 4-team college football playoffs in the game. http://venturebeat.com/2014/08/28/ncaa-football-15-is-dead-but-the-franchise-lives-on/ -

I wish we could've gotten them in a return game, but it's not a bad deal when you consider how much they're paying us. What makes it a bad deal is that we have two body-bag games in the same year. That, plus being away in a home-and-home series in the same year gives us 3 non-conference away games, hence the 5-game home schedule.

I think what gets people showing up is a sustained period of commitment towards winning. Winning every year is not always easy for mid majors/G5 schools, but at least showing you're committed towards winning is the key, and that gets students who see that to come back as alumni, knowing that the school is going to do all it can to field a winner as often as possible, just like it has done since they were in school. Think about how many fans we have lost because of Benford. We had decent attendance his first year because of the hype of Mitchell and the team. That attendance plummeted his second year. The fans didn't want him back, and it continues to go down. Had we shown the commitment to winning and realized we didn't have the right guy, maybe there wouldn't have been a big dropoff. But rather than show the fans we are committed to winning, we keep retaining coaches long after the fans want them anymore, in hopes that the AD can say "I told you so" and hope that coach somehow turns it around. Meanwhile, people have stopped coming to the games. It's like the "'X School' takes basketball seriously" series Tasty did. Even the top mid major programs have bad seasons from time to time. It's the schools that deem that as unacceptable who draw well. The schools that are not okay at all with losing, much less prolonged losing. Those schools get their fans to keep showing up because those fans know their AD isn't going to allow the program to stay down for long, if at all.

Sounded like a specific question Vito would've asked. A really good point was made to me yesterday. No matter who it is at this point, they are really going to be left out to dry at this stage. If they would've been told at the end of the season and had time to look around, like all those other transfers mentioned across the country, it wouldn't be as big a deal. But the odd man out here is not going to have that situation because of how late they will be getting let go if this happens. It would make more sense for someone with more eligibility like GWP, than a senior. The senior is going to open up a scholarship after next season anyways, but a guy like GWP could still take up a scholarship on your roster for 3 years. It'll be a rough situation if it happens either way, but logically it would be the guy with more eligibility.

Sounds about right. Hell, when was the last time UNT90 posted on here? Hard to retain fans who have expectations when an AD whose 6 revenue sports hires, before Mitchell, in the last decade have produced 1 winning season out of 18, yet he insists he has brought in the coaches who can take us where we want to go based on that 1 winning season. That's a slap in the face of you really care about this school taking its athletics serious, IMO. There have been a lot of slaps in the faces of those types of fans, hence why so many have given up.

Ridiculous. Just ridiculous. To say that after a season in which we went 4-18 against our division opponents, had the second worst conference record in football (lost to the only team below us), didn't make the conference tournament in women's basketball, and lost by 28 in the first round of the men's basketball tournament, but we have the kind of coaches we need. Obviously. So what are the fans waiting on? Dan proved he could win with 7 starters on offense and 6 starters on defense inherited from the previous coach, including the QB and entire defense line. Has he really proved anything beyond that? It hasn't been proven that he can't sustain success, but he hasn't "proved that" just based on that one season. And Jalie has looked like a good hire so far, but she hasn't coached a game so we don't know that for sure. I just don't get how he can make statements like that and expect people to believe and trust him, outside of the people who will no matter what.
