  1. The only people I've seen making the "team cancer" comment after the 2012-2013 season have been doing so in jest.
  2. SMU's two QB commits earlier in the year are now committed to Tennessee and Baylor.
  3. Not Benford's fault he's still here.
  4. Well, he graduated high school in 2014, so if he enrolled full-time right away then he should only be 2 for 2.
  5. Right, but was wondering if you could confirm that's since, as @emmitt01 showed, he was signing something. I've always been unsure what the deal is with walkons signing LOIs, and if they actually can. I've seen walkons sign stuff, but I think they may be dummy LOIs, so to speak. Was just wondering if you had any confirmation on Isadore.
  6. Thoughts on Isadore'a signing still not officially announced and his commitment never announced by UNTGridiron either?
  7. Pahinui signing is official Pahinui signing is official
  8. Pahinui officially part of the class
  9. I wouldn't, at this point. We only have a few spots left in this class, and we are very low on underclassmen on this roster. Getting just one season out of spots that we could be getting four out of wouldn't be good roster management IMO. We want to see Littrell get this roster back up to close to 85 scholarship spots. That's not going to happen if we're using too many spots on JUCO blueshirts, grad transfers, or guys like the ones you mentioned with only one year of eligibility.
  10. The Notre Dame issue doesn't concern me.
  11. And 3 to play 3, by my estimation. Big time.
  12. Yeah, yards and touchdowns. And the two running backs before him signed with TCU and Oklahoma.
  13. By my count we were at 69 on scholarship come the day of the bowl game. With 16 scholarship seniors, we're at 53 with apparently 20 spots left (5 going to guys already on the roster). That means if no one leaves, we don't add any blueshirts next fall, and we sign a full class, we're looking at 73 max next year with about 20 projected scholarship seniors. Meanwhile we only have a combined 32 scholarship sophomores and freshmen, who will be juniors, sophomores, and redshirt freshmen next year. I think Littrell realized the grade imbalance and is choosing to ease up on the JUCO/grad transfer guys, unless they're at the right spot like QB.
  14. Grad transfers are no different from high school or JUCO players from a perspective of being able to blueshirt. He came in very late. If we were out of 2016 spots then he had to have either blue shirted or walked on, and it sounds like he didn't walk on. As far as Hayes and Johnson, those could be the 2 spots that opened late for the 2016 class. Or maybe there already were 2 spots. I've never found a definitive answer on if the spots of signees who don't qualify open up if they don't make it in.
  15. Also, by my count we have 15 on board for this class. There are 13 listed commits on 247, but that does not include Pahinui and Isadore. So not sure if Vito is saying Pahinui and Isadore have taken up 2 of the 5 spots already used in the class, or if we actually only have 5 spots left this class.
  16. These are the guys who came into play after signing day: Jalen Thomas, Anthony Wyche, Eric Jenkins, Mylam Peters, Devin O'Hara, Quinetin Jackson, and Demonte Hood. That is 7 guys who committed/signed after signing day and were here in time for fall camp. So it seems we had 2 spots left in the 2016 class to count these guys, and the remaining 5 needed to utilize the blueshirt tactic and be pushed forward to the 2017 class.
  17. Completely agree. I think favorites and retweets are where fans can help, though. I think volume is where our impact can be made, like with the poll from La'Darius Hamilton that you mentioned. If recruits see a substantial number of votes/retweets/favorites from a specific fan base they might be impressed which could matter to some. I really doubt vigilante recruiting efforts are going to sell recruits on choosing a school. Generally speaking, I tend to just lean towards leaving the recruiting in the hands of the coaches.
  18. Lol, no worries either way. I'm not sure. Just read Murray's recruiting thread and @eulessismore hinted at the possibility but I don't know that it was ever confirmed. Did you ever find out if Murray was?
  19. Ah, Jordan. What's the thought on how he could've helped specifically here?
  20. Please check out this piece I did at MGN, recapping our mid-term signing period: http://meangreennation.com/december-recruiting-update/
  21. Great area, and one where not as many schools from outside of Texas and Louisiana are willing to visit.
