Someone also mentioned that we had played more games than anyone in the nation as of that night, and we did look tired. Not from a conditioning standpoint, but from a shooting standpoint. For example, this team already has 9 wins in the first week of December. Benford’s last team only finished with 8 wins for the entire season. A whopping two seasons ago.

The worst argument I ever see about UNT not being a great job is that recruiting in DFW is too competitive. Maybe for people who aren’t very competitive. Are there really people and coaches out there who would rather be in an area where there are just a handful of D1 athletes within a 50 mile radius than be in an area where there are dozens of D1 athletes?

I just wish the fan base would give up the mentality that we need Seth. We need a competent administration that is committed to investing in athletics and we have that now. The coach we hire after Seth will be a good coach because we have smart people making the decisions now, we have resources, and this is an extremely attractive job.

Because of the rest of their roster. If every starter/rotation caliber player who still has eligibility decides to stay at UNT then we could be the favorite. Hard to see no one transferring though.

La Tech probably will be picked to win the West. We could withstand a few players transferring and still have a pretty good shot next year, with UAB losing a lot and the other four CUSA West teams being pretty meh.

Pretty much every fan base dislikes their offensive coordinator unless they go undefeated.

Eric Morris from Incarnate Word seems like a pretty fitting candidate. Was rumored for the job when he was the OC at Tech in 2015. I also am a big fan of Will Healy from Austin Peay but they took a step back this year, and he probably is not nearly as good a fit.

But wouldn’t they have transferred to UAB in 2016 since the program was shut down in 2015?
