  1. Woah!! This a huge. Zach Simmons’ successor here. What a huge capitalization on Rhode Island leaving the door open by going after similar players after he committed. Guess we were!
  2. We did not make his top 5
  3. Not sure if we’re still recruiting him. Verbal commits shows him down between Rhode Island and St. Bonaventure
  4. One left now. Hamlet, Reese, Z Simmons, Bell, J Simmons, Mohamed, Wise, Alcindor, and J Jackson puts us at 9 returning scholarship players. Rubin Jones, Mykell Robinson, and Mardrez McBride put us at 12, and we get 13.
  5. One versatile big who can play the 4 or the 5, like Geu but a better shooter, and one more scoring wing, like Brandon Murray or Simeon Fryer. Problem is we only have one more scholarship.
  6. We have one scholarship left to give for next season. Unless someone else transfers.
  7. Cas is on a roll in recruiting. Finished last year with Hamlet, Reese, Geu, and Bell. Now this year starting with Jones, Robinson, and McBride who all have big offer lists. Very exciting to see
  8. Huge commit! Picked us over some high majors. Can play the 3 or the 4 for us
  9. JUCO guard from USC Salkehatchie. Averaged 14.4/3.3/5.1 this season as a sophomore with a very impressive 52.9% from three on 104 attempts for the season. We have offered. Has a lengthy mid-major offer list. http://www.verbalcommits.com/players/mardrez-mcbride https://www.njcaa.org/sports/mbkb/2019-20/div1/players/mardrezmcbridepkin
  10. If you bleed green then you’d realize what a counterproductive exercise it is to bash our players on the way out. Especially ones who have contributed all conference seasons and helped us win a conference title. It’s a terrible look on us.
  11. This is such a bad look and needs to stop
  12. The below post explains why I’m presuming he will not be a grad transfer until that information explicitly comes out. In short, three reporters, including a national reporter who the transfer was strategically leaked to, all have not said he’s a grad transfer when it clearly would be more beneficial for him to have that fact disseminated. And Goodman’s MO is to explicitly state that a player is grad transferring when he is a grad transfer. Also not showing as a grad transfer in the transfer listings https://watchstadium.com/college-basketballs-2019-20-midseason-transfer-list-10-31-2019/amp/?__twitter_impression=truest https://247sports.com/Season/2020-Basketball/TransferPortal/
  13. The problem with this logic on Mo’s end, and @97and03 already pointed it out, is that Hamlet is a senior. If Mo had stayed his path would look like this: 20-21 season - Starting 2 guard and backup point guard for UNT as a redshirt junior 21-22 season - Chance to become starting point guard for UNT as a redshirt senior And by transferring his path looks like this: 20-21 season - sit out the whole season and burn his redshirt junior season 21-22 season - Chance to become starting point guard for the school he transfers to People keep saying he wouldn’t have a chance to become the starting point guard here because of Hamlet, but that’s not looking at the real opportunity cost here. He can’t start at point guard for any D1 school this season because he has to sit out. Then by the time he’d be eligible at his next school, Hamlet would be gone. So Hamlet really doesn’t present a valid explanation for transferring now.
  14. 6’4” 290 lb lineman from Mineola High school in Mineola, TX. We have offered. Also holds offers from Arkansas State, Kansas, Nevada, UTSA, La Tech, New Mexico, and Southern Miss (His Dad’s alma mater). https://247sports.com/player/jackson-anderson-46097817/ https://247sports.com/Video/Jackson-Anderson-Mineola-2019-junior-season-highlights-9592033/ Is the younger brother of Austin and Riley Anderson, who Mccarney offered back in the class of 2016 before they both signed with A&M. Looks like Riley is still on the A&M roster while Austin has not been on the roster since 2017.
  15. 6’1” 220 lb athlete from Mineola high school in Mineola, TX. Has played RB, DE, and LB for his high school. We have offered. Also holds offers from SMU, Liberty, Kansas, UTSA, Southern Miss, and Louisiana. https://247sports.com/Player/Trevion-Sneed-46079031/ https://247sports.com/Video/Trevion-Sneed-Mineola-2019-junior-season-highlights-9592056/
  16. No clue. He was offered before the season, back in August I believe, so he could easily be a guy we haven’t been in much contact with of late. But losing Gibson certainly makes pursuing make more sense now than before he had left. If we do pursue him, his offer list is lengthy but not many teams on that list who are particularly daunting in head-to-head recruiting matches.
  17. Nice! Hope these moves are a precursor to a move to a 4-3. Mccrae, Pickett, Jacobi Johnson, and these two HS DEs would form a heck of a future DE rotation
  18. Maybe a solid Mo replacement? https://www.njcaa.org/sports/mbkb/2019-20/players/rudiwilliams8uol
  19. Had a huge sophomore season, putting up 21/7/9 on solid shooting numbers. https://www.njcaa.org/sports/mbkb/2019-20/players/rudiwilliams8uol Huge mid-major offer list http://www.verbalcommits.com/players/rueadale-williams
  20. Yes. He’s a combo guard, so he would fit as that secondary ball handler on the court like Mo was. I’m very high on his game but don’t want to unfairly hype him up. But I will say, as a prospect he is as good a guard prospect as we have signed since Chris Jones.
