  1. I think he’s almost a lock for that spot
  2. Ousmane signing is official
  3. Basketball, not football
  4. He tweeted this just last week Makes me wonder if this was more a result of a push from the coaching staff than him deciding to leave purely of his own volition.
  5. Per verbal commits. Hope he finds a place where he can finish his college career getting good PT. Gotta think this means a corresponding addition is coming. http://www.verbalcommits.com/schools/north-texas
  6. Completely agree. I think we’re about to see that with the NFL draft as well.
  7. Have you checked on your friend’s mental state?
  8. Not all offer lists are created under the same circumstances. Obviously with the ongoing pandemic and him not having a chance to hit up summer camps and get his profile up he’s not going to have the offer list he would if he were waiting until August to commit.
  9. The Mitchell twins are the reason we got a second shot at Abou Ousmane. He decommitted after they committed to URI
  10. Mo ranked 22nd on ESPN’s list of sit-out transfers eligible for 2021-2022. Good lists of transfers if we are willing to make room https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/28167956/college-basketball-transfer-rankings-2020-21-2021-22
  11. Shakeem is going to be the last person on the bench for the 3rd straight year if he’s back. And with the quality of signees we have been getting, he’ll be that as long as he’s here.
  12. Former signee has been re-offered
  13. Wednesday is the first day of the signing period, so they should all be signing that day
  14. This is a great question that I am also having trouble estimating on it. Just last week Mykell Robinson set a commitment date of May 1st. Then he ends up committing two days later, stating “It was the perfect opportunity, so I wanted to hurry up and jump on it,” Robinson said. “My commitment date was May 1st, but with this opportunity, I feel like this is a great decision and I’m ready to make the best of it.” Which that urgency seems to indicate that others could fill his spot and it would not still be available May 1st. The questions then become who are these other(s), are we still recruiting him/them, and would Mccasland be willing to urge a transfer to make room like he did last year with Mark Tikhonenko making room for Thomas Bell.
  15. Probably our best class in terms of offers since 2011. Jordan Williams, Chris Jones, Forrest Robinson were all highly recruited and rated. Class also featured Trey Norris, Niko Stojilikovic, and Brandan Walton and Tony Mitchell came in basically with them. Last year’s class was really good too with Hamlet and Reese headlining as highly regarded JUCO recruits. But this is definitely our top crop of high schoolers since 2011.
  16. I think we could. I don’t think we can get a Big 12 team back in the pit, but most of our high-caliber opponents last year were from mid-major conferences. Dayton, VCU, and URI from the A10, Utah State from Mountain West, UTA and Little Rock from the Sun Belt, then two high major opponents in Arkansas and OU. So while it may be tough to get quality high-major opponents, hopefully it will be easier to get games with quality mid majors like us who are also looking to bolster their OOC.

  18. 6’9” 225 lb forward/center who had offers from Texas A&M, Georgetown, and Rhode Island where he was recently committed, among many others. Huge addition. Currently puts us at our scholarship limit. http://www.verbalcommits.com/players/abou-ousmane
  19. Woah!! This a huge. Zach Simmons’ successor here. What a huge capitalization on Rhode Island leaving the door open by going after similar players after he committed. Guess we were!
