  1. Wow. Bailed out by a terrible call on that should-have-been TD catch.
  2. Yeah I think he locked the job up tonight. Unless he starts turning it over too much, he’s our QB.
  3. Adaway running with some steam
  4. First half takeaway: Football kicks ass
  5. Gotta work on these snaps though. Way too many low snaps for a timing offense
  6. That was probably the best throw of the day there
  7. Yeah I just hope the results aren’t like Dajon’s against Nicholls State in 2014. Really bad team made him look good, but was a turnover machine in every other start against FBS opponents
  8. Just gotta get this out there, damn it is nice to be watching some Mean Green Football
  9. Deonte Simpson looks built like a running back this year. Want to see what he can do in the open field.
  10. Especially that out route to Pirtle. It looked a lot like his pick 6 against La Tech, just with an inferior DB. But he looks like he has much better command of the offense than when he played last year.
  11. Dang, that hurts. Really thought he would’ve been good here.
  12. They were aware in the impending days leading up to the arrest, which is why I said it did not catch them by surprise when the arrest happened. But my question was how much knowledge on this case did they have/was available when they hired him. Emmitt answered it.
  13. I said the big question is what knowledge did they have of the situation when he was hired. If it’s none, then it’s none. Not implying anything, just asking the question.
  14. This isn’t something that caught the surprise of the people above him (i.e. Littrell and Wren) but the big question that looms is what was the knowledge on this when he was hired?
  15. Yeah, we scheduled four games before then. Also at LSU and home against a Southland team and UTA.
  16. Luke Walerius randomly retweeted this today. Read into that at your own caution. Also, looking at the replies I’m compelled to remind people, don’t tweet at recruits.
  17. It’s on Meangreensports if you want to give a listen
  18. Florida under Steve Spurrier had a lot of success playing two QBs. The thing was, they played multiple QBs because they had multiple good QBs and he was never afraid to go to the other QB if he wasn’t getting the play out of the position that he wanted. 94, 95, 98, and 2000 Florida teams all had multiple QBs with over 1,000 yards passing and at least 10 wins. I also think we’re making a bigger deal out of this than we really need to be. Seth even said someone is eventually going to pull ahead, and I doubt it will take all that much live game time for someone to pull ahead. I don’t see the issue in letting them both play if it really has been that close a race, since ultimately we want to know which QB will be better on gamedays anyways. Pretty clear from his press conference that his plan is not to keep rotating them all season.
  19. September 1st is when coaches can officially start recruiting class of 2022.
  20. Very intrigued by how this plays out.
  21. The defense is very confusing, especially compared to what Brune had relayed. It sounds weird, but I think that “FS” spot might actually be more of a nickel corner and that “SAM” spot will be more of a roving safety type role. Sanders and his backups (Neal and Morris) are all listed as DBs so I doubt they moved them all to linebacker. Also, both Vito and Brune said Cam Johnson had been moved to nickel and Murray, his listed backup, has been seen as more of a corner this fall camp. I think Bowen just has confusing terminology when compared to a traditional depth chart position listing.
  22. Also, our starting QB taking a knee instead of picking the snap up off the ground when the closest guy was being blocked 5 yards away was the icing on top imo.
  23. Hey, at least we get to see both for ourselves!
