He was not the only one that caused for us to lose that game. We had two fumbles and a missed field goal. The play calling was also in question. We sucked in whole. Everyone keeps talking about how well the defense did, but they seem to forget the missed tackles that changed the game for SMU. We only call for his head. Why is that? They screwed up and did not play a good game. Well, they get a chance to make up for it against Rice. If Lil Mac does the same crap then he gets pulled. That is just the way I think it should be. You do not have to agree.

I already thrown in more than that and all of us who do, signing a petition would not do a damn thing... At least I do not think so. -

We are lucky to get a thousandaire donor. -
If Lil Mac slips up against Rice we might get to see this guy. The playbook can not be too hard to learn. He is probably getting there by now.
-
I am saying he should start the Rice game and be taken out if he does not do well. Booting him after game one is not the answer. He might have just been freaked out. Many players play like crap the first game and get it together game two. That is all I am saying.
-
Honestly, I felt Lil Mac should have be taken out the first drive of the second half to see what someone else could do and make him realize he needed to step it up and make quicker decisions. Like you said I do not think a different QB (Would have been Greer) would have proved much, execpt got some fire in Lil Mac's ass. He wanted to win we could all tell. He just needed to relax and do it.
-
He should not be written off so quick. Even if he did get pulled in the first game and the other QB played, I would expect him back in game 2. That is unless the new QB is crazy good. So players get rattled in game one and maybe it was the pressure that got to him. No matter the case, let him run out there and show us what he has in game 2 against Rice. If he does not do well again, then pull him. Mostly everyone on here was ready to call for his head before he even took a snap.
-
If it was fear, then they need to let him know to calm down and do his job. He looked scared out there. Too much over thinking. I could be wrong, but either way if he is sucking during the Rice games the change must be made.
-
Lil Mac could not read the defense to save his life. He looked horrible from the start. The problem was the score. We were so close for too long. Regardless, I would have pulled him at half and gave someone else a shot. The coaches better be on his ass all week making sure it does not happen again.

If we win less than 5 games this season, he and RV should be gone.

Lance, you are a great alumnus and representative of our fine university. Way to play your ass off every chance you get.

He makes over $200,000 a year to be sub-par. No, he does not deserve a better sandwich and he can buy his own. -
Tips to attending and enjoying a home UNT game?
North Texas Shep replied to DukeNukem's topic in Mean Green Football
First off... Boo Baylor! Sorry, I got my masters at TCU. I couldn't help myself. Now to answer your question... Get there plenty early and walk around the hill. There is always plenty going on, and some great food. Ben is right and the crowd will most likely be small due to the loss to the one we do not speak of (SMU). Make sure to get some Beth Marie's and check out the stadium store on the alumni side. Great stuff there to buy for game day. UNT is full of great folks. What are you studying? -

MGB: Five thoughts on UNT's loss to SMU
North Texas Shep replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
Spot on Vito. McNulty may be a great leader and good in practice, but if he plays like this next week and is not pulled at half time, then we will be screwed. We can not stick with a guy that can not get the job done. Even if Smith only knows 20 plays, he must play. Being good in practice but sucking on game day will not cut it. So, Lil Mac I hope the cobwebs are off and we see a different, more confident you against Rice. -
It was me. It was not a mystery. They had a scrimage the same day as a donor thing I went to for work. He was the best option there. He made the right choices and read the defense. I was not arguing. Just telling you what I saw with my two eyes. However, he played like shit tonight. Did nothing right. Should have pulled him. God he sucked so bad.

Football is back for the MEAN GREEN! All of our rambling about what could be or what will be is over, and game day is here. To top it all off we are playing those epic douche chills at SMU to start the season. I for one can not wait for our guys in green (or in white, sense it is an away game) to kick the hell out of them. The Mean Green have been working their asses off (As we know, thanks to the amazing periscope and Beyond the Green) and I am confident they are ready for the challenge ahead. Let's get to Ford Stadium and be loud and proud. I want us to be so loud we make all the old rich blue hairs at SMU run scared to their over priced homes and cry to their maids. Go Mother F'n Mean Green!

North Texas Keeps Growing...
North Texas Shep replied to Coach Bill Lewis's topic in Mean Green Football
In doing this, are we not just overcrowding the crowded? The last classes I took at UNT were full of people. My employees tell me now they are even worse. My concern is class size, which when smaller can equate to a better education. Being able to borrow more should not be more important than a quality education. Do I want UNT to compete at the highest level in athletics? Of course. I am a season ticket holder and a donor. Above all else I want UNT to be able to give my kids the best education they can get when they follow in their parents foot steps. Snowy, I get the financil part of it. Really, I do. However we should strive to be the best on the field and the best in the classroom. Forcing more students into an already crowded campus is not the answer. Lastly, I hate SMU and can not wait for our beloved team to F'ing destroy them today! See you guys at the game. -

I wish UNT would stop letting so many students in. We have way too many. Smaller class size is the way to go. True it equals money and that is great, but it does not equal a better product (graduate in this case). I do however, like that more students have pride in our university and in our athletics. -
I hate them. Helmet looks nice though. Also, I hate them.
