Look at Columbia up 24-21 with 2mins to go in the 1st half. They are playing Mich St.

Look there is a lack of evidence for this year's team. Yes they have shown some improvement, but there is a lot of work to be done. I'd cut our rotation down too. I'd leave Chris Jones off the floor until he proves that he can take care of the ball. I think we have some talent, but if I was the coach of these guys I would have already had a heart attack.

You would hope so. It's good coaching to take advantage of an aggressive d like that. I thought we did a decent job against the Zone. It wasn't stagnant on the perimeter good movement attacking the seams, getting two on you, double cutter. Nicholls had to go zone bc of foul trouble. Coleman didn't do a great job of presenting himself in the paint. He could have really dominated. Wouldn't hold your breath on CJ he has a major TO problem. Flannigan set a pick and then rolled right into our players driving lane and got in his way. WTF? We got some guys lacking bball IQ. Hey it's a W and you got to keep moving forward. It's not like we were expected to blow them out. I think ESPNs Teamrankings had us winning by 6. Also plenty of other teams had to survive the night. Next week will be a good test to see where or if there is improvement.

Why do our guards drive the ball and just throw up junk? I get trying to draw a foul, but dude some of the shots Alzee and some of the other guys put up are just garbage. This team is missing a PG. They need a pure distributor who can take care of the ball.

I have a love hate relationship with this team. One minute we look good the next we can't dribble. Fundamentals are sorely lacking here. If I was Coach Benford I go find me a PG who didn't think he was Harlem Globetrotter. Jones isn't even close to Josh White. Can DT come be our game manger PG for bball? Also stop throwing the ball to the walking TO Voss.

Okay so its the winning team part that maybe a stickler. Basically he is looking for a team that could plug him in right away as starter and who wins more than loses.

Would you take Barnes as a replacement? If Benford fails as bad as you seem to think this team will. I'll agree with you he should be gone. If we see moderate improvement like I believe then I think he should get 3rd year with the hot seat label. Like he has to finish in the top 4 of the conf and earn either an NCAA or NIT bid.

Lets see how Rick Barnes does this year. His players quit on him and then ended up transferring. I think it maybe his last year at UT, but his team is really young and playing with a lot of effort early on.

Im guessing based upon ESPN's ranking of all 351 teams we would be picked 4th or 5th. and 9th in the Sun Belt and 2nd in the SWAC
