Dont sleep on Bellazin getting a call to an NFL camp either. The NFL is a passing league and he has proved he can rush the passer. NFL scouts and player personnel will always dig deep to find a guy with pass rushing ability.
-
Umm we aren't out recruiting Mizzou for a DLinemen. Sorry but, they turn out a lot of good NFL talent from their DLine. They had a great line this year. It's just the truth if a kid has a chance to be an SEC DLinemen at a school that has proven in recent years to put guys in the NFL he is gonna pick that school over us.
-
Talent is there to be good again. Tough part is replacing leadership. Will be interesting to see who steps into those roles.

I'll take the Eggies by 15. UNT keeps it close (within 10) with a strong rebounding effort but the eggies pull away late with free throws.

The Breakdown: UNLV vs. UNT Its not my best effort, I've been sick with the flu for over a week a now. So no formations. My wife wouldnt let me get out of bed to watch much film, but I saw enough. Now I've just trying to heal up so I can watch some good hard nose football tomorrow. It should be a really good well played game. I'll give credit to UNLV they are better than I initially thought they were. Herring, Davis, Cornett could present some problems for UNT. Still like UNT by a narrow margin. I hope all you guys enjoy the game tomorrow. Should be a great event for UNT. Proud to be an alumni. Proud to have brought a breakdown to you guys for most games and I look forward to putting them together next year. Go Mean Green

Craig Robertson with an interception today
Mean_Green09 replied to Marty's topic in Mean Green Football
I'm a big Browns fan watched every game this year. Craig played well at times specifically against the run. Where he struggled was in pass coverage against athletic backs who where threats out of the backfield. Reggie Bush had a field day against him. Some of the pass catching TEs got the better of him too. Overall I'd say he had a decent year. I think his position (ILB) is one the Browns will look to upgrade this offseason. -
Oh but they did, JJ left us. So there is the reason for the heart break.

OU and Nebraska ran a defensive scheme that worked great against what UT did it was designed to take away the short underneath throws and to force you to throw in coverage down the field. Bama didn't run anything similar. McCoy would have been So I'm pretty sure he would have a had a good night. Basing my beliefs off of scheme and history. Not just my dislike for UT. You must listen to Paul Finebaum way too much cause your starting to sound like him.
-
Yes they would have. It was how their defense was designed vs what UT was going to run on offense. Under your assumptions why didn't they make adjustments for Manziel this year then? Why didn't they make adjustments to stop Shipley in game when he was lighting them up for like 120 yards and 10 catches I think? Yeah Gilbert has those ugly stats and yet somehow UT is within a TD of have a lead in the 4th qr. That just screams of a team getting rolled like you say. Dude hardly plays all year and some how brings UT back against a good Bama team with no running game and one true okay 2 guys to throw the ball too. The outcome of that game would have been a lot different if McCoy plays.
-
There are so many variables to that UT vs Bama game. Saban didn't call off the dogs. Not when it was still a game. They didn't pass much because they couldn't protect their herp a derp QB McElroy. If McCoy plays it is a much closer game. Does Bama win? Maybe. I will say this Bama couldn't cover the one guy who UT had and that was Shipley. Bama's defense was trying to cover him man to man all game long and UT was lining him up as a flex. I'm pretty sure that McCoy would have torched their defense through the air. Bama's strength was the run defense, not a pass rushing team. They hurt McCoy on a designed run, so your idea of they couldn't protect him is wrong.

I think your going to hear every name possible: NFL-Harbaugh brothers, Tomlin, Sean Payton, Pete Carroll, Jon Gruden College-Urban Meyer, Gus Malzan, Jimbo Fisher, Jim Mora Jr, Les Miles, David Shaw, Art Briles, Pat Fitzgerald, James Franklin, Charlie Strong I've heard everyone of those names so far. -

That's not how they are spinning it. It's all about Mack not wanting Saban to take his job. Once it was leaked that it was possible if Mack staying then Saban signs his contract. Coincidence? I think not. It was basically within an hr that all goes down. Mack was threatening to air dirty laundry. Mack basically want two things. No Saban and to make Orangebloods look bad. He accomplished that. Saban was interested to the point he was contacting other coaches to gauge their interest in joining him at UT. It's completely hilarious that Mack was so powerful that he cost UT Saban. He kept UT from being a football monopoly all bc he thought he would have beat Bama in 09 with McCoy. -

Yes. Part of his resignation terms. If Saban comes you could expect to see a lot of dirty laundry aired out. Plus Saban doesn't want to be considered a vilian. -

He is probably like 6th or 7th on their list. -
I think this is like Saban contract rumor # 100,000. Nobody even knows if there is a true number. No matter what he will be the highest paid coach next year end of story. Time to leave the numbers speculation up to those crazy Bama and UT fans. I for one can't wait to see the meltdown in either Austin or Bama. It's going to be classic and legendary.

I look at it this way. We are a pretty unknown commodity at this point so it's going to take more winning and wins against AQs before we get those matchups we want. People have to want to see us play. Outside of Texas I don't think there are many people who know our brand and know about UNT football. I don't think many people flip through games on Saturday looking for UNT. So most of the writers that are outside the DFW area make their determinations about UNT football by looking at a box score same thing with college football fans. It's all a process that is going to take time. If UNT continues to do things the right way everything will take care of itself.

They aren't very happy with Major right now. Major is also a candidate for the Arky St. job.
-
Just saying he might have agreed or said that looks good, but nobody has reported he signed it. Not even any of the Bama sites. So I'd still be concerned if I was a Bama fan Its an ongoing ordeal. So much fun to watch the Longhorns go crazy over this stuff.
-
Really so you think he balks at the chance to bolt for the NFL to coach his QB? He already said his contract extension won't stop him from considering NFL jobs. Synder loves RGIII and RGIII loves Briles.
-
My money is on Briles to end up in Washington DC

Recruiting ploy. They don't want their class to blow up. He is gone and he knows it. The board knows it. Only thing left to do is finalize the buy out. That is what will be done Thursday. Only way the President of UT stays in his position of president is if he let Mack go. He is going to do it to save his own butt
